  1. I agree for the most, having a bunch of reasonable pitchers 20-25 yr olds "lottery tickets" who are one/two adjustments away from being adequate mlb pitchers is a good things to have. They all have some strengths and weaknesses. Probably the best spot since like 07-09 when we had Rzep, Mills, Magnusson, Farina, Cecil, Romero, Farquar, Litsch, etc
  2. Nothing has really changed with SRF, sure his "ERA" is lower, but he is just getting by right now with crappy fastball command and a slider that works vs minor leauge hitters. The list of pitchers that BTS listed are over-hyped.
  3. Nothing has really changed with him, he is still walking too many hitters, the odds are overwhelming that this won't carry over in the majors versus major league hitters. I don't see why you guys think he has drastically changed?
  4. SRF fastball command is terrible, you will all see soon enough. When I saw him in March vs Yankees AA team at the Yankees MILB complex in Tampa he opened the game with 10 straight balls. He gave up 3 or 4 hrs, and he goes super-saiyan every time he walks someone or gives up a home run on hanging sliders. Sure he can get some minor league hitters to chase his slider, but he will get destroyedddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd in the majors now by just walking everyone.
  5. SRF is overrated. Pearson has pitched 21 innings in the minors chill.
  6. No, cmon your better then this.
  7. A #5-10 prospect
  8. In unexpected news Teoscar regressed to the mean and has been Adam Duvall/Hunter Renfroe since the bet started April 28. Teoscar - 272PA - 248/294/488, 5.1%BB, 26.8%K, 109 wRC+ Hunter Renfroe (career) - 242/298/482, 6.3%BB, 27.8%K 106 wRC+ Adam Duvall (career) - 234/294/465, 6.9%BB, 26.9%K, 100 wRC+ Expect a gradual decline now like every other hacker, and he will be in Japan/Korea soon like TheHurl predicted.
  9. Patrick Murphy possible bad body alert.. All the Jays guys were giving him crap for eating papa johns 24/7 in the season when I was chatting with them back in Dunedin in March,
  10. Did you not learn anything from Teoscar? Everything says he would regress and guess what? He regressed. Gurriel has been terrible for 500 abs in the last 1.5 years. Now that Gurriel had one average week, everyone thinks he is good? Cmon man. Why do I even bother to respond to you sometimes, sigh
  11. But this season is a lost cause anyways, lets just play him and Teoscar every other day to see if they can somehow become average/good players.
  12. It's true it has been a SSS his MLB career, but pretty much everything says he will be terrible, ha. Just because someone is young and got signed to some big contract doesn't mean he will be a good baseball player. Did you not see all of the other Cuban players that didn't workout?
  13. Hmm are u on crack? He has a career milb and mlb ops under 700, he has a career mlb bb/k ratio of 11-1 and he is a god awful defender. He made several errors when I saw him in MILB games in Dunedin back in ST over a few days. He got hit in the face with a ground ball he missed, and had to be taken out of the game. He got signed to a big contract because of his last name and his dad/brother's history. At NO point in his career in the US has he been even an average player at any point.
  14. Well am I supposed to pretend he is a good hitter because of a random hot streak? Nevermind the fact he has a career ops under 700 in the minors.
  15. But man wtf Gurriel is pulling a teoscar, performing over his head in a SSS, and everyone thinks hes is good. Why are casual baseball fans so stupid, fml
  16. With a 5 year gap in between MLB appearences...
  17. What is the fascination with Lourdes Gurriel? He has been terrible in the minors, terrible in the majors.
  18. Beer 348/463/606/1069
  19. Anyone else slightly worried about Griffin Conine? 13-1 k/bb so far through 40~ abs in Vancouver.
  20. If Pardinho is 5'11', im 6'7'', maybe he grew a few inches since I saw him in March though..
  21. We could have gotten an AAA reliever for Teoscar back in April/May, but not anymore =[
  22. Grichuk probably, but it will be close.
  23. Teoscar has more strikeouts this week then Andrelton Simmons has all season! Congrats!
