  1. I agree Duck! About 3 or 4 years ago we were looking at Brett Cecil as the next great Jays starter. With his new found power arm, I say get this dude out of the pen and back to starting, Dickey, Johnson, Buerlee, and Cecil could be awesome! PLEASE STOP BABYING THESE SPOONFED MILLIANAIRES!
  2. Thats the idea hummus, now you are catching on. BTW, even if Lind batted 300 by OCT 1, would you trust him next year? Why waste time playing baseball when you can stub your toe, get that big DOCTORS note, (ask people on workmans comp) go to the south of France while you are on your 30 day DL assignment. I think the owners are as fearful of being suied as doctors, so why don't they take out or subscribe to malpractice insurance? I remember a time when missing 30 days of the baseball season was very very rare, like if you broke your collarbone.
  3. are U kidding hummus, dime a dozen players will play anywhere they can get free hot dogs
  4. Lind is playing for a new big contract next year. Some players today are only motivated by money. Since the other four AL East teams are way ahead of us, we should trade him now not in July or November but now while we can get the most for him.
  5. Infielders like Isturis are a dime a dozen. So why did Beeston or AA give him a three year contract?
  6. Sounds like the Blue Jays are grooming him to follow Gibbons. He would fit right in with the rest of the team.
  7. I only follow baseball n football (NFL variety) So I don't find many good programs on the Fan. Blue Jays talk COULD be if only they had another host. No intelligent baseball fan would care to call Mike, hence we get all those suk-up callers which bore everyone except Mike. He called someone an idiot and a jackass because he simply called him a homer. Doesn't Rogers listen to their employees? If I owned Rogers, Wilner would be finished before sundown tonight, not at the end of the year. And he could take his play-by-play resume with him. I only listen to Blue Jays talk anymore to see how much wilner will make a fool out of himself tonight. I think he suffers from dementia, yet Rogers either don't listen to him or like the team, they don't care.
  8. It's been along time since the Blue Jays have had a clutch hitter. I guess Agents and Beeston don't discuss clutch hitting when it comes time to sign someone, only home runs. They think thats all the fans in Toronto know about.
  9. AA to Beeston, "Jeff Blair on Sportsnet radio said we plan to make Lawrie our everyday secondbaseman in 2014, WHAT DO YOU THINK?"
  10. Does AA and Beeston always listen to Blairs advice? If Lawrie isn't willing to be the weak hitting second baseman for the Jays the rest of the season, I don't want to see Lawrie in a Blue Jays uniform in 2014.
  11. SORRY, I meant A Ramariz of Milwaukee, not Minnesota. I'm still used to Milwaukee being in the AL. Anyways Ramariz is having a good year while his team stanks and Lawrie is a bust, not because he is not playing with a full deck, but because I've seen this pattern before, he comes up in 2011, looks like the next all star third baseman, Big dissappointment year two, can't do nothing right the third year.
  12. Lawrie! He was are great white9Canadian) hope, but now unfrotunately are great white dope. Would the Twins GM trade 3.b. man Ramaris 34 who is having a good year for 23 year old Lawrie? Would you if the Twins GM. If I was the Blue Jays GM, I'd make that trade at the drop of a hat. Again, I hate to say it but Lawrie is a bust! The book is out on him.......an easy out.
  13. Why wait until the end of the year. This guy has so many hitting flaws, the A.L. Pitchers are laughing. He has become an easy out and a bust, but because second basemen get paid for their defense, NOT OFFENSE, Lawrie may have a chance there, more over its less likely Lawrie will run himself into a solid object playing second like he has done so many times playing third base.
  14. If he can walk, not to mention run which he can do now, 10 to 30 years ago he'd be in the lineup tonight and everyone would have forgotton about his injury while he teared up the league in June. But because these race horses are worth millions, management is PARANOID ABOUT WHAT MAY HAPPEN IF HE STUPPED HIS TOE! Hense they get ripped off for another month for leaving a "game changer" player on the DL. It's utter stupidity!
  15. Becaues baseball is more unpredictable than life itself. We could have been boasting about with Dickey, Morrow, Romero, Burleley (the only good starter we have and I can't spell it) and Johnson, we by far have the best roation in baseball, BUT IT WAS NOT TO BE.
  16. Somebody wrote WHEN this guy hits rock bottom, HE'S DONE THAT! He can't even get high school players out. If it was mechanical with all the great pitching coaches money could buy and this poor guy is still strugling? You know it is between his ears! Even in 2013 Scientists and Doctors can't explain 99% of what is in between the ears. For all they know your head might as we'll be stuffed with cotton.
  17. Morris is SOLID! Since over 100 games are on channel 22, he should be there all TV games. Why waste him with Mike Wilner? It's 2013, who listens to the games these days? Morris always has good and useful comments. Pat & Buck should be on the radio, Jerry & Morris on TV, but who was that guy doing play-bye-play the past two games. HE WAS GOOD! I have nothing against Buck but the guy the past two games sounded like he should be ABC or CBS or NBC top voice, HE WAS GOOD!
  18. We can't get rid of the useless Isturis because we FOR SOME REASON, (ask Mr. Beeston, the man of burden), we signed this useless **** for three years!
  19. If he had hemmorrieds, he's be out for three months, even tho just a small dab would cure you
  20. 40 years ago Morrow would have dueled the best the Braves could throw at us even if it took 15 innings, result Blue Jays 5 Braves 4 BTW Juan Marischall duelled Warren Span 16 innings in the early 1960's, Result The Giants or Braves won 1 to 0, check google if you want to. That was the day when men were men and PLAYED like it. Both starters went the whole 16 innings. They were paid only $10,000 a year, so they weren't babied. RARELY DID WE HEAR OF A Dis !What AA & Beeston FAIL to understand, that if you put your 20 million dollar horse on the DL for 60 days, HE CAN'T EARN HIS MONEY THEN!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. This site removed 99% of my message in front of "in 2014"......I wish I knew who the mod was.
  22. in 2014. SO THE STUPIDITY CONTINUES.
  23. Kawaski is nothing more than a fill in man from Buffalo who happens to be better than Isturis and Bonifacio, which says something about Beeston and his side-KID AA, doesn't he look like a 13 year old? I mean AA. A YES MAN to BEESTON, Thats why he picked him. Can you Imagine Pete Rose managing the Blue Jays in 2013, NO WAY NO HOW would he be such a YES MAN to Beeston !There is an old saying in business, it starts from the top to down. The Blue Jays are the epitome of that. Yeah, I guess Kawawski is cute, but being cute doesn't win pennants.
