Advanced stats measure results but they don't measure how those results came to be. Confidence, moral, etc exist and impact performance.

Confidence in your defense can improve a pitching staff's performance (DIPS). Confidence in general can improve performance. Nothing wrong in saying that.

Sure, the best threads have disagreements. However, don't bite the hand that feeds you. The only reason this place exists is because of the content that is posted. Posters adding content deal with way too much bs when they are really doing all of us a service. I'll make a thread with this much content once a year (if that) and TL does it weekly. Good on him, it's appreciated.

I like TL, he posts a lot of content. Most people on these forums either lurk or complain/criticize about the content posted. That's not to single out anyone in this thread but come on why are we jumping on a guy for posting some gifs and stats. That's exactly the kind of discussion I like having on here (instead of the constant bickering which is humorous but over done)

I think he was saying that having a decent defensive SS is helping the pitching staff which doesn't show up in Tulo's WAR.

He's looked way better at the plate. I don't put too much stock in to mechanical adjustments until there is a far larger track record but I do believe in players figuring out a better game plan and getting better in a hurry. I think Goins is cementing himself as a very useful utility player with enough upside to be a regular if he does figure it out at the plate.
