    FWIW Price uses RA Dickey's agent Bo McKinnis. As we all know Bo and the Jays worked out a pre-trade extension to bring RA over. Could be the same thing here.

    Morosi had speculated on A #BlueJays offer of LHP Daniel Norris, LHP Matt Boyd, and CF Anthony Alford may be enough to get David Price from #Tigers. If Yoenis was coming over too I could see that package going the other way.

    This was not normal, Flores was still playing. It was highly unusual. I cannot remember a trade breaking and falling apart while the player was on the field. Secondly, to dismiss this as a failed medical is also naive. Gomez is completely healthy. His agent is adamant he's healthy and he's playing today. There was no one else going to the Mets so it's not dense to think there could be more to this story than is being let on.

    Teams will absolutely not make deals with other teams that consistently leak details. Do you think AA would deal with the Mets if he thought it would get leaked early? The Mets had a SS crying on the field, they had fans from across the league as well as national media coverage trashing their front office and #LOLMETS was trending on twitter. It's embarrassing and that matters.

    It wasn't inconsequential at all, the Mets were embarrassed last night because the details were leaked. Whoever let the info out made them look very bad -- their reputation with fans and peers is not something that organizations take lightly.

    I'd argue the opposite, some short term pain to ensure a better long term outcome. Teams can't be leaking trade details until they're complete. If you can't do business in that way then find someone else to deal with.
