  1. Damn, he made that catch look a lot easier than it was.
  2. Tapia broke his bat on that I think, sounded like it anyway.
  3. Vlad said he prefers batting 3rd, barring an absolutely rock solid argument (to him) that he should move, he's not likely to.
  4. LF is only easier than RF because of the longer throw to 3B. If Lourdes and his cannon of an arm can play LF, he can play RF.
  5. This is the greatest team of all time! Sample sizes be damned!
  6. I was always of the opinion that since home teams get to flout the rules with their ballparks, and since the SkyDome was the first retractable roof stadium (well, the first one that wasn't just so, so awful) they should have employed retractable fences too. 20' in when the Jays are batting 20' farther back for the opposing team. How's that for a "quirk"?
  7. There's no clock in baseball, so it's not remotely the same. You run the clock out by controlling the ball and making sure the other team doesn't have any opportunities to score, you cannot do that in baseball. You can't score goals/touchdowns when your opponent controls the ball/puck. You simply cannot stop a team from having a half inning, where it is theoretically possible for them to score any number of runs.
  8. If time wasn't granted, he shouldn't have stepped out. If time was granted, the pitch shouldn't have counted. There's not really any room to argue that call that I can see.
  9. I don't personally consider trolling to be a banable offence. So I won't ban him (unless he delves into areas I think are fully offside), but the other mods have already given him a time-out this year. Also, nobody is seriously considering physical altercations. Well, none of the sane people who knows what JF54 actually thinks.
  10. As good a defender as Semien is, Chapman is still better, so I don't think "may have" is a necessary qualifier.
  11. Point of clarity: Teo was hitting a f***TONNE when he got hurt. 191 wRC+ and 0.6 WAR in only 6 games. He's on pace for 16.2 WAR over a full season!
  12. I've always hated this mentality. Play hard, no matter the score. Like, every single one of these players has been involved in a 7+ run inning, it's not like those don't happen.
  13. This is your response to being thoroughly demolished with receipts. Your self-awareness is staggering.
  14. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that the Blue Jays bus(ses) is/are pretty f***ing swanky.
  15. http://i.lvme.me/s10nbj5.jpg
  16. Hey now, it's only the shittiest city in America because it has the shittiest people in America. If he lives there, he deserves it.
  17. Blue Jays and non-blown saves in Fenway.
  18. I think that's fair, gave him the chance for a clean inning, but it's early in the season and you don't need to put any undue strain on his arm.
  19. Maybe he'll be the next guy to go from guy we mock to guy we praise. Who knows at this point!?
  20. Yeah, the fact that Gausman is more than a 2 pitch pitcher tips it in his favour for me. I like Ray, and think he'll be good, but there's a lot less room for error as a fastball/slider guy.
