Completely not true http://shine.yahoo.com/animal-nation/why-does-your-cat-insist-on-drinking-out-of-the-sink--.html "Drinking more than usual" can mean diabeetus, drinking from taps just means they prefer fresh, cold water... Which is also why my cats drink from the lake when they're at the cottage...
