... You obviously don't understand the rules for bringing players from Japan to the MLB... You can't just sign a player out of Japan. There are LOTS of rules for Japanese players leaving the country, which is why it's such a huge deal when Yu Darvish was available in his mid 20s. I know this is falling on deaf ears, but seriously... Do you ever even pause to consider what you're about to type?

Yeah, Japan just y'know, won the WBC twice, they're pretty bad over there... And Kawasaki won the "best 9" twice (award to the best player at each position in the league...) meaning he was literally the best shortstop in all of Japan at one point.

DeRosa is an RH bat with some power, that's a useful bench piece. It wasn't ever going to be between Kawasaki and DeRosa.

With the 8 man pen, a lot of guys just aren't getting any work, so Loup would have made sense to send down (for the time being.) 4 lefties is kinda crazy.

Guys on the 40 man who aren't on the 25 man currently: 64 Chad Jenkins 49 Brad Lincoln 35 Sean Nolin 58 Todd Redmond 31 Michael Schwimer 37 Mickey Storey 51 Thad Weber 6 A.J. Jimenez 2 Ryan Goins Mauro Gomez 13 Brett Lawrie 8 Anthony Gose 14 Moises Sierra One of these guys will probably be gone (or Morrow or Happ could be transferred to the 60 day DL.) Please keep your "DFA Lawrie" comments to a minimum.

At least we have some knowledgeable posters... Every single one of them was convinced that O'Day did nothing to provoke Bautista, and that the fans were chatting "O'Day O'Day O'Day O'day" without noticing that "O'Day" rhymes with "Jose" and that the latter makes infinitely more sense for the fans to be chanting.
