  1. SG-1 and Atlantis are really, really excellent sci-fi shows. They're very tongue in cheek and self referential (the first episode of SG-1 featuring Richard Dean Anderson, who played MacGyver, used the term "MacGyvering", and then did a cut away to him for comedic effect). They're just very fun shows that any Sci-Fi nerd would love, given the chance. Also, DS9 is a very underrated Star Trek. It didn't hit its stride until they got the Defiant, and a lot of people had given up on the show by then... Great cast of characters... Garak was one of the better characters in the entire Star Trek series of shows... Those are just some of my favourites, and all quality shows for anyone to watch... You can read the synopses and discover the genres yourself.. Also, here's a bonus fun show that most people have probably forgotten: The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.

  3. The big story in here is that Chris Archer got 3 votes. I'd love to hear from those voters as to what their reasoning was...
  4. Watch: Chuck, Clerks: The Animated Series, Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, Doctor Who (I'll only link the new series, but the original series is awesome too...), Arrested Development, The Tick... Crap, a bunch of other shows... But here are some that should keep you occupied for ages... Edit: Stargate: SG-1, for my fellow nerds!
  5. They were pretty nice tits, but I got over that after the first episode... I've found that if I binge watch a season of GoT, it's enjoyable... but watching a single episode makes me realize how little actually happens in each episode...
  6. This seems redundant...
  7. I used to work at the CNE when I was in highschool, I found the seat in a store room in the basement of the bandshell.
  8. I still have my blue Exhibition Stadium folding chair... Looking forward to building a mount for it and having it in my yard (once I get a damn yard... hopefully in 2015...)

  10. Can we try to make a point of writing "re-sign" rather than "resign". They have almost totally opposite meanings.
  11. Archer is awesome. Possibly the funniest show currently on TV. Meh, He's had a couple of weak ones, IMO... Jon Benjamin Has a Van Home Movies Both are rated quite highly, I just never really enjoyed either.
  12. Stroman, because Blue Jays, duh! (Also, that little f***er is pretty good!)
  13. You have no idea how much I hate this sort of f***ing attitude from fans. "Well, I'm unhappy with his performance, so he'd better not look happy otherwise I'm extra unhappy." GO. f***. YOURSELF. Do you really want a team that is f***ing miserable out there? They're playing a goddamn game, and having fun is the entire reason people play games... Or should be, anyway. He's a happy person, let him be a happy person. "They lost the game, so Vernon Wells had better not have a water gun anywhere, or he's an *******" is not just dumb, it's very dumb.
  14. I don't know if I'd feel right posting in a thread labelled 2014 after Dec 31...
  15. That is a goddamn waste of rum!
  16. Shadow of Mordor is the best game I played in 2014 (granted, I did not play all of them, not by a long shot...). Really fun combo of stealth/close combat/ranged combat, it doesn't get really in your face about being LOTR related, but it is lore accurate etc. The Nemesis system is pretty spectacular as well... Downside, of course, is that it's pretty short (beat it in < 30 hours, and I'm very much a "check every barrel to see what's inside" kinda player), and I wasn't overly impressed with the first major DLC...
  17. I use Media Hint with Netflix... It's a pay service now, but the old versions that were free are still floating around and still work just fine for me. 0.1.13.1 gets me both American and Canadian Netflix.
  18. You have a terrible sense of humour.... Community seasons 1 and 2 are some of the best things that have ever been on TV... 3, and 5 are pretty good and 4 is pretty awful... You should seriously consider a sense of humour transplant, this might be fatal.
  19. The fact that Corner Gas got #sixseasonsandamovie before Community did is really bizarre to me...
  20. Oh... People still play sports games? Interesting... OOTP Baseball? I'm sure they could port sports games to PC quite easily (actually, you can use emulators to do that...) if there was any demand for those. It's super easy to hook a PC up to a TV and use a controller, so there's no reason other than lack of demand that it's not doable.
  21. I have 255 games in my Steam library... I paid full price for 0 of them. Sales, freebies, bundles... aww yeah... Plus, my laptop has better hardware than the newest gen consoles, and it's 4 years old now. And if you must play with a controller, the 360 controllers are 100% compatible with PCs... (and my laptop has an HDMI out if I want to play on my big TV...) Also, My version of Skyrim has 120+ mods... Can't do that on console...
  22. Consoles are for people who aren't awesome enough to game on PCs! http://i.imgur.com/QQo8Lr2.png
  23. I did my Christmas in November, 'cause my parents are old and contractually obligated to spend the winters in Florida now, but Merry Everyone to y'all and while you're doing "normal" things like "having loved ones", I'll be "getting drunk and playing video games" like a f***ING ADULT. Jelly much?

  25. By "could" I meant "in the real world of things that might actually happen..."
