The more I think about Kim, the more I like him as a fit for the Jays. And the price range that I've seen (5 years, $40-60M) is reasonable and well within the budget. Don't know if I'd go much higher than 5/$60 for him, but don't think that would be required.
Yes, Lindor is a MUCH better player, but he will cost a LOT in terms of prospect capital + an extension (and if we didn't extend him, that would be a disaster of an acquisition...) and I think Kim + what is bought with the extra money we didn't give to Lindor might end up improving the team more. MIGHT.
