    While those are all targets I'd like, I don't really feel like moving Groshans, Gurrriel, or Biggio for rentals/a pitcher that might be our 5th starter.

    I used to run a record label, and some of the submissions we got were worse than this, but not MUCH worse than this.

    It's really hard to look at historical precedent in this situation though, it's not the same world it was even 10 years ago when it comes to stuff like this. In my opinion, no action should be taken until allegations are proven, but in 2021 this is a marketing decision above all else, and his brand may be simply too toxic for any team to take the hit, regardless of the return.

    Guys, hear me out on this and I know this is will be an unpopular opinion but I *DON'T* think we should trade our young, controllable, fantastic, dynamic, telegenic shortstop who sometimes makes poor defensive plays (but still grades out as about an average defender at short), even if the return is 3 players that you could probably get on minor league deals in the off-season.

    They've been allowed to weasel out of other bad contracts, and build that travesty of a stadium with illegal dimensions, for example.

    Since when do the Yankees not get EXTREME preferential treatment by the MLB?

    They probably have a "if this contract starts to look bad, we can just walk away from it and somehow this is allowed because we're the Yankees and can do whatever the f*** we want" clause in his contract.
