    Oh f***, I forgot that we get the "pleasure" of watching pitchers hit... This is going to suck.

    Deserving of a call-up, sure, but there are only 26 spots available on the MLB team, and he's also not on the 40 man roster, and because of all the people we have on the 60 day IL right now, the limited dead weight on the 40 man will have to be cut for (some of) those returning players. Logistically, there's no room for Smith at the moment (barring a trade in which he's not involved.)

    I'd be furious if they traded Groshans for Gallo, so he can GTFO with that "the fit wouldn't be obvious" garbage. I am really not interested in making a performative run this year, or moving viable pieces for that. The only way I'm moving any of our top 10 prospects is for a controllable starting pitcher, and a good one at that.

    Yeah, the cheating manager, who was suspended for cheating, comes back, and it's super unlikely that the cheating manager who was suspended for cheating is cheating again.

    That would be a hilarious reason to DFA a guy. Can't say I disagree with it as a reason, but I did find his demotion/DFA to be surprising.

    It's trade-deadline time. He might be a piece that's moving for something (obviously as a part of a package, or for a smallish return/bad contract)

    Some team is going to grab Zoinks (unless he's part of a trade?) and hope they can "fix" him. I just hope that it's a team in the NL, because it would f***ing suck if the Yankees got him and suddenly he was a stud or something. I have no problem ditching him, but I know the universe loves to kick us in the balls with stuff like that.
