Exactly they stay the course the course they were on they could have Synder Stro, Hendo (health depending) at the top of their rotation you can save money by adding 1 or 2 2nd tier starters and not always looking at big free agent starters (which generally come back to haunt teams down the road) to round things out and money can be spent elsewhere. Before the Mets and Marlins trade i thought AA was well on his way to developing a system like that of Cardinals, and Giants to an extent.
I think it is the better way to run a club then Trying to be the yankees and dodgers and and spend as much money as you can and ignore developing your own players so you can trade them off for more big money guys.
