    You can sign a solid backup for less then around 1-2M i would not worry about it and they will likely give Jimenez a chance to win in in spring anyway so they won't break the bank on a backup. As for the bullpen i have always been a big believer that you don't throw big bucks around in the pen especially when you have 3 solid pieces in there as is (Osuna, Grilli, Big Joe). Logan/Blevins might command 7 per year and that would be the biggest guy i would go after.

    I think that is speculation due to the Pearce Signing but i agree that if the door isn't closed it is only open a pubic hair.

    Ya Alvarez is a butcher with any kind of glove on DH for the rest of his career And i think i would put Moreland ahead of Smoak considering i bet he will make less.

    This was my initial thought but if we can sign both Pearce and Moreland it would clear things up a bit. Moreland can't hit LHP to save his life but is solid against RHP and Pearce can play 1st against LHP and play LF when not playing first. Sorry i know thats a mess of thought. Signing Pearce would make things a lot easier position wise as he could play both 1st and LF. If you can follow my ramblings god bless you.

    I was just thinking him and Upton would be good in Left together. He could be a good buy low guy that could help fill a hole and save money for other positions.
