    I find it a little peculiar that there seems to be more transparency in the Jays off season. As if they want to show us they are in on players so that if nothing happens they can say well you saw we were in on a lot of people.

    I would not pay the 6 years he wants to keep him at third more or less because is body is not in the greatest shape ever (round) and i don't think he would hold up to a long term deal. If they move him to first however he would be alright but he has not OPS'd over .800 in a few years so that bat really does not play for the position. I think you could save the money and spend it somewhere else. Unless you get him on a four year deal (i doubt) then i would not really even consider it.

    I say 3 years is the max i would offer him. Give him more AAV but i would not likely do more then 3. I think he gets a 5 year offer somewhere though.

    I am firmly against trading MB..... The guy is a work horse that guarantees you 200 innings. And with the young rotation we will have that is something that we need.
