  1. Silver lining is that Gibby needed to learn that he can't trust Liriano even as a reliever and a game against the Rays was as good a time as any for that.
  2. Yeah. It's kind of neat that his old band actually goes to the trouble of re-recording these very dated sounding tracks.
  3. I made my pizza on Wednesday but I didn't bother posting it. I'm new at making my own dough and I used way too much. Was like eating a pizza on top of a loaf of bread. Not something I needed to document and share with the world. Tasted great though so I'll just split the dough next time and have enough for two pizzas.
  4. Kenny V has an AllMusic.com page: http://www.allmusic.com/artist/kenny-vehkavaara-mn0000641095 Looks like he mostly puts out children's music.
  5. Oh man... This is cheesy as hell but Barry being in a s***** dad rock band actually makes him more endearing to me.
  6. Oh it's highly likely to be unoriginal.
  7. I liked the tweet that said Donaldson was a sulky baby who should spend time in little league (nope not even the minors, little league).
  8. There are so many people on here who follow either Jays Reddit or Jays Twitter or the Jays blogosphere or some combination of the above that there's very little chance anything significant will slip through the cracks and not make it here and I spend enough time here as it is without needing to seek my Jays stuff elsewhere. News gets here promptly and gets pretty thoroughly analyzed in no time.
  9. Yeah reading Twitter can feel like parsing some massive social media data dump. I used to manage three twitter accounts and I had the multiple columns thing going in tweetdeck with different streams organized by subject and accounts until I just got fed up. I deleted one of my accounts, let other people manage (or ignore) the one I was doing pro bono for an organization and trimmed down my follows on my remaining account. I almost never check Twitter anymore.
  10. Yeah... It's pretty dumb to do that in the first place but it's especially dumb when the person you're calling out has actually trimmed down and done a far better job managing their weight than you have. I used to follow HighSockMojo back when I was more into Jays twitter and I remember when she started working out. She's clearly had success with it and looks a lot trimmer than the two idiots calling her out for being fat. Not that it matters of course but it's just amazing what hypocrites those two are.
  11. Oh yeah... I think you're right. Our Gruber probably isn't on Twitter and now that I think of it, I've seen that Gruber's Mullet guy on Jays twitter before and he's pretty different.
  12. These two look like a real piece of work. No self awareness at all. I see that a lot of people have gotten into it over their content stealing including our own Gruber:
  13. If he comes off the DL, he is eligible for the playoffs. If he doesn't, the Jays can petition to have a pitcher who was in their organisation but not on their 40 man roster before September 1 to be added to their playoff roster (a.k.a. Dermody).
  14. It's also not very impactful. It's one of those confirmation biases thing. You notice when a bad hitter comes up in a big spot that he wouldn't otherwise but you don't notice the times when a big spot is created out of nothing for a good hitter despite being in the wrong lineup spot. It's better to have an optimal lineup over a non-optimal one long term but it's a marginal improvement. Bill James himself said that a sub-optimal lineup that makes your players happy is preferable to an optimal one that might not. It's one of most debated yet least important things baseball fans argue about. I remember getting so invested in these debates like 10 years ago. I would scribble my own lineups all the time. Now I couldn't care less.
  15. So Diamondbacks or Braves then?
  16. I enjoy the odd clip here and there but I can't stand watching the actual show. It's like sitting through SNL waiting for the rare decent sketch.
  17. Pompey is fine. He's been on the 40 this whole time.
  18. Using MiLB.com... Versus LH in 2016 In A+ (6.1 IP): 0.00 ERA, 1,11 WHIP In AA (8.0 IP): 1.13 ERA, 0.88 WHIP In AAA (6.1 IP) : 0.00 ERA, 1 .58 WHIP They don't give K and BB rates and I can't be bothered to calculate them. The sample sizes are minuscule anyways so none to this is really significant.
  19. His AAA numbers aren't impressive but his overall season is excellent, 5.88 K/BB.
  20. Tepera is garbage but the other three moves are solid. I'm definitely curious to see what Dermody can do. It's crazy what a revolving door the loogy situation has been, Morales, Venditte, Girodo, Loup... It wouldn't surprise me if Dermody or Liriano would be better in the role than any of the guys used so far.
  21. Could theoretically replace Gavin Floyd then (60 day DL).
  22. Already well practiced in the art of not giving a f***.
  23. From what I heard, Buehrle didn't even say anything. He just texted a picture of a lake which is pretty awesome.
