Yeah he's a victim of a terrible thought process. He went with a strict adherence to conventional thinking and showed that he was unwilling or incapable of thinking for himself and making a rational decision. I'm not very sympathetic. In the playoffs, you have to manage with urgency. You don't automatically make the kind of ego flattering decisions you make in the regular season (giving your s***** starter a shot at the w, saving your closer for the save). He had over twenty years to learn from his mistake in 1995 and he failed to do so. The more I think about it, the more he I think he absolutely deserves to be fired (just like the last time). He's never going to learn. He should be put out to pasture.
