In 2 to 3 years we could see Hutchison,Stroman,Sanchez,Norris and maybe Hoffman .....without a single big contract. I can dream can't I? -
If they find someone who will take Reyes who will play shortstop...is there anyone in their system on the way? Not that I have heard.

Maybe not, but he has changed his approach. His Batting Average and OBP show that he is contributing big time.

It seems to me that when a player writes something like that it shows a complete lack of respect for the manager.....I don't know if it reflects more on Hillenbrand or not, but I do think it is relevant .

I don't think Gibbons is at all to blame for this but the last time he was here they folded and Hillenbrand wrote that unforgettable "this is a sinking ship"....so who's going to write that this time?

No matter how well it's going,sooner or later Dickey will give up runs and it happens fast. He cannot sustain his stuff after 4 to 5 innings. Perhaps the bulllpen is where he is better suited..didn't Wakefield work in the pen?

Why Gose over Rasmus? At least Rasmus is a big league hitter...

Seems to me that scoring a run was a higher priority with Kawasaki due up and Pillar runs well anyway...

I never watched Reyes in the National league..was he ever an elite defender?

But we've known all along that the starting pitching was not good enough and the bats eventually would cool off.....good teams with good starting pitching can win when the offense isn't there. Can this team?
