I have no problems with the way he's managed...and I'm fine with him staying as long as he never gives an interview again....the man has absolutely nothing to say..
It seems to me that when a player writes something like that it shows a complete lack of respect for the manager.....I don't know if it reflects more on Hillenbrand or not, but I do think it is relevant .
I don't think Gibbons is at all to blame for this but the last time he was here they folded and Hillenbrand wrote that unforgettable "this is a sinking ship"....so who's going to write that this time?
No matter how well it's going,sooner or later Dickey will give up runs and it happens fast.
He cannot sustain his stuff after 4 to 5 innings.
Perhaps the bulllpen is where he is better suited..didn't Wakefield work in the pen?
But we've known all along that the starting pitching was not good enough and the bats eventually would cool off.....good teams with good starting pitching can win when the offense isn't there.
