  1. I have never in my baseball life seen an organisation rush so many pitchers......this is incompetent management....
  2. Blue jays.... world series favourites.....should have taken that bet!!
  3. I don't either...I recall McCowan saying that JPA had improved defensively..
  4. I agree about JPA but who else is there? Lawrie and Rasmus can't hit either..and forget about whoever plays second... Frankly, I 'd rather have Kawasaki there, which should tell you what I think about this hopeless lineup.
  5. Better get used to JPA..He'll be here for the next 5-10 years.
  6. Still don't understand why AA chose Gibbons....unimaginative, inarticulate...dull, and he uses JPA , a guy who's numbers suggest he should be a the bottom of the lineup, instead of your hottest hitter in Lind. Don't tell me a manager doesn't affect the mindset of the players.. Next year..he better not be back...
  7. Why can't Lawrie pull the ball? Is it bat speed or what?
  8. He has been terrible but 2 years ago he hit .290 so maybe he still has a chance to hit...if he does start to get on base they will have something...now Cabrera...oy!
  9. If their starters were healthy..maybe..but not with this mess of a rotation.
  10. Jenkins has not been stretched out so his pitch count has probably been reached....start next inning and if leadoff man gets on, pull him..
  11. Jenkins fb in the high 80's...he will never be a ml starter imo...
  12. I think Gose will be another Bonifacio unless he figures it out soon..
  13. Rasmus is going to set an all time mlb record for strikeouts and Dempster walks him???
  14. Vernon Wells was the 5 tool guy who never seemed to get the big hit in his first few years...then he was in the third spot ahead of Delgado..and with that protection he had a few excellent years...then one year Delgado struggled at the start and the pressure fell on wells and he couldn't deliver....then he was batting ahead of Hillenbrand and the 2 were expected to be the heart of the offense and neither one could get a runner in from third with less than 2 outs..so for me Vernon was never a hitter who could handle pressure.. So he goes to LA and is pathetic.....now he has announced his retirement and that seems to have taken the pressure off him..or at least that's how I see it.
