  1. Yeah we don't have enough fireballers at all. Seems like other teams run them out there one after the other against us.
  2. SSS alert but Jakob Junis has an 8.74 ERA in 3 AAA starts and an ERA of 1.20 in 3 MLB starts (an opener was used for two of them).
  3. It doesn't make sense to have an entire bench full of subpar lefties. If a starter goes down, you can't platoon anything. It's just dealer's choice on whatever s***** left handed batter you want to put in. So that said, Tapia at least has some mildly entertaining batted ball data he's just getting BABIP'd a little bit. Zimmer looks completely overmatched (though it is only 20+ ABs). So dumping Zimmer for the likes of Carpa and Warmoth isn't the worst idea. Lopez and Samad Taylor probably could use another month but I'd consider them as well. When Biggio is back he's another lefty and we also have Collins. Might not be a bad idea to option one of them too.
  4. ChiSox picking it up. And I actually like it when they play the Orioles because they are burning through all their games against them for one, and two it's interesting to keep an eye on the series because anything short of a 2-1 or 3-1 series win is a setback. Orioles winning just one game a series is all it takes to basically consider it a series spit for the Yanks. Orioles winning 2 of 3 and it's like the Yanks are getting swept. Sort of.
  5. Lol they'll have finished up their entire slate of games against the Orioles before we even start.
  6. During this tough early season schedule we also played TWENTY games in a row at one point. Absurd.
  7. I think we will be ok. -Bullpen is regressing but I still think it will be a decent bullpen, probably league average with potential for more. -I'm still confident that the Offense will regress to the mean and will be at least a Top 10 offense by season's end. -Rotation looks to be pretty good even though some kinks need to be worked out. So even though Gausman won't be THIS good all year we will probably see better versions of Berrios, Ryu, etc. -The bench looks like s*** but remember Espinal is so damn good now that he's no longer a part of that unit. Getting Jansen back will mean no more Hiney-man (bc he's cheeks, get it?) and less of the other bats like Tapia so that will help too. Also: We are 17-14 with one of the hardest schedules played to date and one of the easiest schedules remaining. I'm never optimistic about a trip to the Trop but the pitching matchups look great and then the schedule REALLY opens up for some wins. Just flip through it really quickly and you'll see loads of games against the Orioles, NL Central, etc. and it basically starts on Monday and lasts the rest of the ENTIRE year. Seriously just look at it it's crazy. Unless the Red Sox get it going it doesn't really look like we'll face back-to-back series against winning teams on the road from here on out.
  8. Ok and then he dials one up to 100 nevermind lol
  9. Chapman looks as cooked as Romano did last night.
  10. Ok now it's interesting
  11. If Capra can get on base...
  12. Kirk you fat ass
  13. Romano looks like's been rode hard and put away wet after Chucky kept running him out there time after time like it was the playoffs in April. Guy won't let a SP throw more than 80 pitches in April but has no problem with his CL pitching 5 times a week.
  14. Yeah this is just a classic game for us to cough up. Reminds me of the last game tbh. Jump to an early lead but could have been better. Other team slowly catches up before taking the lead late and it's game over. Hopefully we can pull this out.
  15. I don't disagree but you're the one bitching about a middle reliever pitching in middle relief and giving up a lazy flyball.
  16. Well it kind of is hard to pinpoint them like that. It's a home run in one park in MLB and the shortest home run of Stanton's career because there are hardly any fences that even allow for that kind of ********. But yes, it would be nice if the Jays got that lucky tonight.
  17. He might have but there's no way he should have in that situation and if he did he's a really really dumb player
