  1. Let’s face it. If Gibbons were the manager of this team Kikuchi would have been on the DL weeks ago after Gibbons rightfully put his foot up Kikuchi’s ass for sucking so bad. Imagine this tweet from a horrified Arash Mafatty: “The club has placed SP Yusei Kikuchi on the DL after manager John Gibbons whooped his ass in a fist fight following Kikuchi’s removal in the 2nd inning of last night’s game. I’ve been told there’s no time table for his return but Kikuchi left eye is swollen shut after a Gibbons right hook.”
  2. Lol wow bro the best manager in team history used to literally FIST FIGHT his own players and you’re worried about a little yelling? Do you think Yankee fans show concern if Aaron Boone starts chewing ass in the dugout?
  3. Chucky can play the bongos, juggle and teach tap dancing classes after the games for all I care as long as the team is WINNING. But if we aren't WINNING then things like playing dress up (the home run jacket) and pranks involving sunflower seeds need to STOP. In fact I wouldn't let them even eat sunflower seeds until they start winning, let alone the pranks. Chaw should be allowed but veterans only. Rookies need to focus on the game. The nerds upstairs can assemble the greatest set of strat-o-matic cards the game has ever seen, but unless Chucky starts getting them ready for the games they aren't going to win. Period.
  4. Wow let me guess you're a Zoomer?
  5. Do you think Chucky is all rainbows and sunshine to the media and behind the scenes he's ripping the players' *******s? Lol yeah right the guy is softer than a roll of Charmin toilet paper
  6. Valencia always seemed like a nut job. He'd sit at the very end of the dugout near the stairs and would be maniacally yelling/laughing the whole game. Seemed like the rest of the team made a point of it to ignore him. Dude was traded 5 times in his 9 year career.
  7. John Gibbons deserves a Cross of Valour for managing the 2015 team as well as he did. Donaldson Reyes/Tulowitzki Pillar Bautista Danny Valencia Stroman Osuna Sanchez among others
  8. LOL the only thing being played well this past week was Buntoyo’s bongos when he should have been reading scouting reports instead
  9. Constantly in contention so the bullpen is always a focus. The payroll also allows them to sign Gerrit Cole and Rizzo and trade Cooper and Smith for guys like King. Then they can also sign Chapman and Britton, etc. Now that the Jays are in contention they’ll start working on the bullpen.
  10. The team is going to be in contention for the foreseeable future so if it's for someone with control I have no problem pulling the trigger. If it's just for rentals I probably would prefer they just go and get a depth starter or two.
  11. Springer has had a ton of check swings lately
  12. Oh I don't disagree. AAA is hot garbage. AA on down all have some interesting names though.
  13. Hatch had been pitching better since a rough April. He had 44 Ks to 11 walks in May and June. They gave him a chance and he sucked ass so he won't be getting another one possibly ever again. They acquired Banda midday and needed to make room so Castillo was sent down to AAA presumably to start so he'll be the next one up if needed. The team has a youthful core, a top offense and a very solid rotation. The weaknesses are rotation depth and the bullpen and I'm sure the team is itching to make some trades to address that it's just not quite time yet. Plus, you have to factor in where we are at. The team isn't catching the Yankees but is very likely to make the WC so there's no sense panicking and forcing trades early. Some deals will get done at the deadline you crybabies!
  14. That would be short rest for Stripling and Manoah.
  15. Who would you have used instead? We have a playoff team but the pitching depth is garbage. I'm sure Atkins knows this and will address it at the deadline.
  16. Well they had a plan for Hatch and Lawrence in the second game but when one of the top starters in baseball takes a liner off his leg that plan goes out the window. It's s*** pitching depth culminating with some bad injury luck today and the results are UGLY.
  17. Yep punting two games in one day, can't say I've ever seen that before lol
  18. Yeah I think Jansen or Moreno are trade bait. Failing a trade, I think I could see them keeping all 3 up and having Kirk become the near full time DH while catching just once a week or something. If he's our new cleanup hitter it would seem like a good idea to keep his bat in the lineup as much as possible. Jansen and Moreno can split time with Jansen getting some pinch hit opportunities and Moreno getting some pinch running. The third option is to option Moreno.
  19. Well that explains it. I'd probably have millions of likes if you all weren't on your phones.
  20. What would you do when Jansen is back? Keep all 3? How would you allocate playing time? I'm curious to see what they'll do.
