  1. Dipshit is more worried about his drums than his lineups!
  2. Fyi Gibby would sometimes hit the punching back as well as Bench Press instead of jacks in the cage. He’d also get Taco Bell instead of the sandwiches (he’s from Texas and likes Mexican food)
  3. Does anyone here think Aaron Boone is dancing, playing music or otherwise partying during the season? HELL NO He does what ever successful manager does. After the game ends he pours himself a glass of scotch and starts scouring over the scouting reports for the next game. Several hours later he’s usually done with the bottle of scotch and the clubhouse attendant shows up for work that day so Boone has him fire up the pitching machine so he can take some hacks in the cage. Eventually he passes out for a few hours. When he wakes up around noon he eats 4 or 5 sandwiches and starts yelling at his players. Basically, EVERYONE is READY to play. Gibbons told me that every good manager basically does some variation of this. Chucky doesnt do this though because he’s just not a winner! He’d rather practice his bongos and salsa dance all night. Someone slap this guy we’ve got some games to WIN
  4. Our old friend Edward Olivares might be interesting in deep leagues and is worth monitoring. The projection systems have him as a league average bat but he is looking better in fantasy due to perhaps 20/20 potential.
  5. I know John Gibbons used to lurk on the board (mainly to read my posts he told me) but can someone please print this out and fax it to Buntoyo! The guy is clueless.
  6. If Montoyo would quit moonlighting as a professional bongo player into the wee hours of the night and would read a goddamn fangraphs page once in a while maybe he’d figure out how to fill out a lineup card properly!
  7. Check out our old friend Brandon Drury's statcast page!
  8. If Stripling is still pitching well I wonder what the Jays will do when Ryu returns. I wonder if they'd consider a 6-man rotation.
  9. Hopefully Buntoyo is studying up for tomorrow's series against the 1st place Yanks instead of out partying and playing the bongos! We've got some big games this week!
  10. Devers us under team control for this year and next but Bogaerts is a FA. But yeah sounds like neither has had positive extension talks.
  11. Yeah they look terrible. They played over the heads last year. Story looks physically broken. Can't even play SS on Bogaerts days off.
  12. Semien has been so terrible it's crazy
  13. Ok thank you sir I'll drop him. If his results do start performing to his underlying stats then I can always pick him back up I'm sure. I don't think there's too many guys in this league who look at statcast stuff.
  14. Ok yeah you are the guy to ask about him. His underlying stats are awesome but the results aren't there. What are your thoughts on him?
  15. 14 Team Dynasty that's heavy on pitchers. Teams carry 9 or 10 SPs. These are my 4 worst SPs: Mitch Keller Josh Fleming Kikuchi Tyler Anderson Should I drop any of them for Dane Dunning or Ross Stripling?
  16. Stripling might be legit good again. He's changed his pitch mix and is only throwing his 4-seamer 38% of the time like he did when he was with LAD. No idea why he was throwing his 4-seamer over 50% of the time last year. When he was with LAD he was always a solid GB pitcher. In his time with TO he turned into a flyball pitcher but he seems to be getting back on track this year but he's doing it a little differently than he did in '18 and '19. He's increased his slider usage up to 38% against RHP and it's quite the worm killer right now with a -13 LA. He doesn't even throw it vs lefties and instead he goes heavy with his changeup and mixes in his curveball. His GB is back up over 50% again. Hopefully he can keep this up.
  17. Is Ross Stripling fantasy relevant again?
  18. The 3-18 Reds currently trail the Rockies 9-0 after 2 innings
  19. I also heard that when Gibby wasn't pouring over the opposing team's splits he'd put away the air mattress and would get out the heavy bag and do some work in case he needed to fist fight one of his own players or the opposing team's manager. Dude was a legend.
  20. That's what I liked about having Gibby as a manager. He was such an ass-backwards Texas hick that the mere thought of setting foot on foreign soil for anything other than work literally made him sick. I heard through the grapevine that when he was manager he refused to get his own apartment and instead would sleep on an air mattress in his clubhouse office. But get this, he barely even slept and instead he'd just slam his patented loaded Diet Cokes all night while memorizing the opposing teams splits. That's why his bullpen management was so money. One of my favorite pieces of baseball trivia is that in 2015 lefty reliever Aaron Loup threw over 42 innings and didn't face a single right handed batter all season. Pretty sure Gibby gaming the system like this is why Manfred installed the 3 batter minimum rule.
  21. I saw a post last week on Reddit and Chuckles was out and about late at night and now I'm seeing this? This guy is enjoying the TO night life, I'll give him that. Probably explains a lot of his lineup cards if I'm being honest. I mean we've got a day game tomorrow for crying out loud and this guy is out partying after we barely eeked out a 2-1 win and trail the Yankees by a game and a half?
  22. I'd take J-Ram. He's a Top 5 pick and Machado is a second rounder. Machado could outproduce but it's probably something like 65/35 J-Ram or something.
  23. Doesn’t seem like it but we’ve scored the 12th most runs in MLB so far this year and I’m pretty sure our underlying metrics are even better. I think things will start to pick up for us in May, Vlad included.
  24. Fearing Orioles rookies is pretty low-T Jim. They could make a deadline deal with the Angels for Ohtani and Trout and we’d still thrash them.
  25. We play the Orioles something like 15 times from mid August on.
