  1. Well the Marlins are ran by a woman so I think you have to make the offer to see if she'd actually do it.
  2. I'm sure every GM in baseball knew Grichuk was available. Dick Monfort was the only one dumb enough to actually trade for him.
  3. Extreme body types are the new market inefficiency
  4. Idk Moreno could definitely be the one traded, especially if they trade for a star player as Moreno could be a headliner in a package like that. Jansen could also go as he has the least amount of control. I don't see a scenario where Kirk gets traded. He's probably the most talented of the 3 but he's also young, cheap and controllable. The team is batting him cleanup now, they obviously love him.
  5. Bumgarner or hold. That's easy Jim.
  6. It's hard to get good bench players unless you develop them on your own. Guys like that can always sign with a s***** team and start. That's part of why the Dodgers have been so good is because they develop a ton of guys they can control and keep on their bench. I think we are getting close to that. AA and AAA have a ton of fringe prospect types that could turn into good controllable bench pieces.
  7. Remember when people thought Ross Atkins was actually going to lose on a trade with Dick Monfort lmao
  8. Lol I'm kidding Spanky! I gave you some helpful advice too. I would definitely do it. I like Altuve.
  9. Spanky just give Laika Co-Commissioner powers for a few days and he'll have your roster whipped into shape no problem *meant Co-Owner
  10. Yeah he's a good real life player but a garbage fantasy player. Altuve has hit more home runs this year than Lux will all season.
  11. I'd still do it unless that 15 to 40 guy is a better fantasy prospect than he is real life prospect. Especially if he's a pitcher.
  12. By Top 100 I assume you mean ranked somewhere between 60-100? That would be a definite yes from me. What prospects are we talking about though?
  13. Trade for Votto and get Kirk ABs in Left Field. Problem solved.
  14. Orioles lineup is so bad tonight
  15. Yeah he's probably done as a Blue Jay.
  16. Back to the trade deadline it seems like a left handed bat is obvious but at the same time I think that might be a little harder to find a fit than people think. As it stands, Gurriel is probably our worst regular? Biggio and Tapia are starting to hit too. So it's going to have to be a pretty high impact bat to make it worth our while because otherwise it won't be much of an improvement over Gurriel and whatever Biggio and Tapia give us. Relief Pitching is an obvious need. It's good enough for now but at the deadline we will probably look to add a high leverage guy that throws hard. Starting pitching will be a need IMO, but at what level we will see. Every contender will check in on frontline starters and I could see us adding one. If we have any injuries though we will be looking at innings eaters too.
  17. I agree but the horseshoe will fall out of the Yankees' ass eventually. Their schedule is more difficult than ours and it's only Mid-June so there is still plenty of time. Fangraphs thinks we have a 20% chance to win the division still.
  18. Alright boys I'm locked and loaded with Kooch. He's gonna deal tonight.
  19. Our upper minors pitching depth sucks. Stripling filling in nicely for Ryu but one more injury (which is likely) and we are all the sudden relying on Nate Pearson. If he falters then it's up to Hatch?
  20. His xBA/xSLG in 2020 was .214/.343. He had garbage exit velocity and one of the worst Hard Hit % in baseball that year.
  21. Watch it, meat. He was a slap hitting bitch in 2020 as well he just got lucky in the short season. So that's two years his back has been jacked and now he's back?
  22. Hmm is Biggio back? His 2022 statcast page is starting to look like his 2019 season when he was actually good. He's been terrible against fastballs in '20 and '21. The results aren't there this year either with a .167 BA and .222 SLG against 4-seamers but his xBA and xSLG against them is .286/.503. Even better than what he did in '09. He's been hitting really well since his return by slashing .306/.457/.444 since he got back and that's not including today's 1/3 with a triple and a walk. Jays giving him 5 straight starts with Chapman hurt for some of those games so they might be seeing something as well.
  23. It's a 14 team pitching heavy league so most teams roster 9 or 10 SPs. Kikiuchi just got dropped and will get picked up at some point but rather than rostering guys like him I've been having better luck streaming a couple of times a week instead while I only have 7 healthy SPs. I'll think about it but I think you are right about Kooch being as good as any other streamer this week. I'm outgunned on the arms as the other side just has more healthy starters than me so I'm leaning toward streaming Kooch but I'll let you know. Thanks for the advice and talking out with me!
