    The only official word I got was from Charlie Wilson ( head of player development ) that Pearson and Zuech would be in Dunedin. I thought T.J. would be moved up to AA. I'm sure assignments would have been decided today. Are you still here?

    Was at the Complex today to watch intra squad games. Unfortunately, AAA vs AA game didn't materialize but got to watch Pearson pitch a few innings...didn't give up a hit and fastball sat at mid to high 90's. Met his Dad who was sitting with former Jay Mark Whitten who happened to coach Nate in his early years. Took a picture with him...I'm 5-10, so you can see the size of this kid. The good news is that he is assigned to Dunedin, so will get to watch him for a month. I was also impressed with Warmoth and Riley ..quick bats.

    Were you at the complex today? I didn't make it but a friend who was there said that there was a AAA game and AA against the Phillies. He mentioned that Bichette was 5/6 and Vlady 2/4. Harris pitched well for AA team.

    Preparing for my Dunedin trip, so haven't been on for awhile. Of course I'm in. Expect reports from A ball and Extended Spring....I'm sure I'll be seeing Tulo and Stroman there. Hopefully Dunedin has someone to watch...Pearson, Vlad, Bo, Warmoth... Hurl, hope we can meet up at Jays / Rays series in May.

    Buck in the first inning " Grichuk scores to give the Jays a 1-0 lead". This is after Grandy had already hit a HR a couple batters earlier.At least he corrected himself. Lol

    Heard from a buddy down in Dunedin who stopped by the complex today. He mentioned that both Tulo and Travis took batting practice today and didn't seem to have any issues....fingers crossed. Can't wait to get down there.

    I will be there for that series...usually buy the cheapest seats available and move down behind home plate.

    Thanks. Won't be there till April but will check in at the Complex if anyone is rehabbing and checking out the short season prospects until they are assigned. Of course will send observations about the Dunedin team in A ball and any one of interest in rookie ball(extended spring). Would love to meet up with anyone who might be down there in April.

    I don't think the renos will start until after Spring training. Both the Sarasota Park and Bradenton are a step up from Dunedin.... the 2 nicest parks in the area are Phillies in Clearwater and Steinbrenner Park in Tampa. I can't wait to get down there in April to watch some A ball. Hopefully Vlad and/or Bichette may be there but I'm not counting on it.

    Was anyone else taken aback by Stroman's insensitive tweet, saying that the news ruined his day. Not everything is about you Marcus. I'm sure it was just a bad choice of words but still.

    He was in Dunedin this spring at 89...baseball was his whole life. He was basically an advisor for the last few years and the Jays would send him out to evaluate certain players. He was a true throwback...no tablet, no gun, just paper and pencil and a keen eye.

    So sorry to hear about the passing of Mel Didier today. I met Mel a few years ago at a Fall League game in Phoenix. We chatted for awhile about baseball and prospects...he was a wealth of knowledge and his stories are legendary. I asked where i could get a copy of his book "Podnuh Let Me Tell You A Story" and he mentioned that they were all sold out. The next day I'm sitting at the game and Mel walks over and hands me a signed copy of his book. I saw him the next spring in Dunedin and he remembered my name and had time to chat even though he was evaluating at the time. We crossed paths a few times since, either in Phoenix or Dunedin and it was always a pleasure to talk to him. Any fan of baseball should read his book. In it he chronicles how he was indirectly responsible for Kirk Gibson's famous home run off of Eckersley. He pre scouted Oakland and knew that Eck usually threw a back door slider with a full count. He related this to the Left-handed batters and the rest is history. R.I.P Mel.You will be missed. The baseball world has lost a legend and a true gentleman.

    That's part of it for sure but batters are catching up to it also.. I wonder if he tips his pitches. Btw, who do you have left tonight in Draft Kings?

    Was at the game today in Erie. After getting staked to a 5-0 lead in the top of the 1st, Conner Greene proceeded to s*** the bed. It is hard to figure him out.he was throwing consistently in the mid-90s hitting 100 once with an 83 mph devastating slider, but he still gets hit. Of course he's always behind in the count. After watching a lot of these prospects in person, I'm becoming convinced that the Jays have only 2 legit prospects- Vladdy and Bo. The only upside in going to today's game was the fact that I found this retro shirt in the clearance section.

    Change of plans. Going to the afternoon game on Sunday instead. I need a rainout tonight or tomorrow to get the SRF vs Burrows matchup. If not, I get Conner Greene for NH on Sunday.
