  1. Thanks. It's a great read going back to his days with the Expos. If you can't find a copy, pm me and if you live close enough, you can borrow mine.
  2. He was in Dunedin this spring at 89...baseball was his whole life. He was basically an advisor for the last few years and the Jays would send him out to evaluate certain players. He was a true throwback...no tablet, no gun, just paper and pencil and a keen eye.
  3. So sorry to hear about the passing of Mel Didier today. I met Mel a few years ago at a Fall League game in Phoenix. We chatted for awhile about baseball and prospects...he was a wealth of knowledge and his stories are legendary. I asked where i could get a copy of his book "Podnuh Let Me Tell You A Story" and he mentioned that they were all sold out. The next day I'm sitting at the game and Mel walks over and hands me a signed copy of his book. I saw him the next spring in Dunedin and he remembered my name and had time to chat even though he was evaluating at the time. We crossed paths a few times since, either in Phoenix or Dunedin and it was always a pleasure to talk to him. Any fan of baseball should read his book. In it he chronicles how he was indirectly responsible for Kirk Gibson's famous home run off of Eckersley. He pre scouted Oakland and knew that Eck usually threw a back door slider with a full count. He related this to the Left-handed batters and the rest is history. R.I.P Mel.You will be missed. The baseball world has lost a legend and a true gentleman.
  4. Selfishly, I hope Dunedin. At least for the month of April while I'm there.
  5. If any of my fine internet friends are at the game today, I'll be behind home plate wearing my red Travis Erie jersey. Come and say hello...section118, row 18.
  6. I have Wood and K. Davis in the late games.
  7. Can you post the current standings? Thanks.
  8. That's part of it for sure but batters are catching up to it also.. I wonder if he tips his pitches. Btw, who do you have left tonight in Draft Kings?
  9. Was at the game today in Erie. After getting staked to a 5-0 lead in the top of the 1st, Conner Greene proceeded to s*** the bed. It is hard to figure him out.he was throwing consistently in the mid-90s hitting 100 once with an 83 mph devastating slider, but he still gets hit. Of course he's always behind in the count. After watching a lot of these prospects in person, I'm becoming convinced that the Jays have only 2 legit prospects- Vladdy and Bo. The only upside in going to today's game was the fact that I found this retro shirt in the clearance section.
  10. Change of plans. Going to the afternoon game on Sunday instead. I need a rainout tonight or tomorrow to get the SRF vs Burrows matchup. If not, I get Conner Greene for NH on Sunday.
  11. Big night for Davis...3/3, with 2BB, 1 Hr, 1 double, 4 runs scored, 4 RBI and a stolen base.
  12. Hoping for SRF then.
  13. Might as well bring up the guys in AA....Greene, SRF, Borucki....why bother with these has-beens or never will be's.
  14. Coming home after the game on Friday but will fill you in if he pitches Friday night. He pitched Sunday, so he should be up on Friday, hopefully vs Borucki.
  15. Going to Erie on Friday to catch New Hampshire and hopefully Borucki. Any one on the Seawolves worth noting?
  16. Wow. Congrats. The winner in mine had 281. Crazy night. I had Sale and Kluber originally and hated my hitting, so dropped Sale for Happ.
  17. How did you do in the free contest. I made $6 in a $4 contest...placed 8832 with 156 pts.
  18. I think it was Vladdy Jr.
  19. Are you sending out invites tonight?
  20. Did it again. Replaced Severino and Khris Davis for Stro and Stanton. Probably cost me 6 pts....gotta stop doing that.
  21. I'll be going to a couple of games also, but in Erie when they play the Seadogs....less than 2 hours from Niagara. Plan on seeing the current New Hampshire team next weekend in Erie. Now that's a great ballpark just minutes from Lake Erie.
  22. Thanks King- Did i miss something or did you leave out Ryan Noda who has been above .400 all season for Bluefield.
  23. A couple of the par 5's should be changed to 4's. Dustin Johnson is hitting a wedge on his second shot on 13.
