Gotta be a good sign when even the bald midget Canada-hater is reluctantly admitting that Toronto has a shot at Giannis now. Far cry from his posts months ago. This is my thinking too and we never agree on anything so your conspiracy theory is much more widespread than you thought.

I suggest that the Yankees give up 10 runs again during the twilight hours in order to strengthen their case about the lighting. After months of investigation a la Astros debacle, Manfred can then come to a conclusion in November 2022 to ban the Buffalo stadium from MLB use when the Jays have long been back to Toronto. -
Boston looking real good. Miami and Tampa looking pretty bad. The rest could swing either way. Doesn't really matter since the banned guy and the troll account have a lock on this "contest" anyways.

Thatcher Demko just made his career. It would be hilarious if a mediocre backup goalie on an 8th seed team turned into a wall and carried his team to the Stanley Cup. The lolz NHL parity talk on this board would be epic.

Agreed. All credit is being given to Anunoby which he did make the shot under very high pressure circumstances. But an NBA player that open SHOULD be making that shot. The pass and Boston's defensive lapse need to be given equal credit there.

I'm quite pleased with how the Jays trade deadline went. No big splashes (nor did I really expect or want it), but the team addressed a lot of the depth issues. If this is the way Atkins behaves during a half assed contention season, I'm cautiously optimistic about his abilities when the team is going all in during its peak contention phase 2021-2025. -

Holy s*** I guess the Jays should have re-signed Ryan Goins and shipped him off to Miami for Villar to make everyone happy. You have to give up something of some value to get value back in return. If Conine has Espinal level of success in, like 2023, I expect several suicides to take place on this board. Conine is the most replaceable of replacement level players based on what the Blue Jays have done. Get someone off the trash heap of Conine's profile and turn him into the next Bautista, Encarnacion, Smoak or Hernandez on the cheap for a couple of years if you're really missing that bat. -

The Borucki debate has died down but I don't understand how anyone could not like him in the role he's in now. He fills a team need perfectly and is not young enough or good enough to take him out of that element and try to salvage him as a starter. No shame in going for the Zach Britton career path and Borucki would probably agree to that since that's his best shot at getting paid. -
Why can't Thom Brennaman be a billionaire so his "apology" can be two middle fingers on live TV instead of that cringy feces that came out of his mouth in an attempt to keep his job. What a faggy bitch. Definitely a bottom.

A team's ultimate goal is to get to 95 wins on -150 run differential and 30 combined team WAR.

Nice, the Jays are only a couple games away from being outside the range of a bottom 10 pick. A few more games against the Orioles and top 5 will be completely out of reach. There are several complete dumpster fire teams right now. Some will probably turn it around but will be replaced by others that are overperforming. You tank fappers should just concede now that the Jays are going to finish ahead of Boston, KC, Seattle, SF and Pittsburgh with a good chance that the O's, Tigers and Marlins join that group. What # pick was Mike Trout drafted at again? -

A player gets injured playing baseball. Why does it always happen only to the Toronto Blue Jays? Time for everyone to put their feet into concrete blocks and jump into Lake Ontario. Things like this wouldn't be such an issue if the team didn't always have paper thin depth and there were compelling players to replace the injured ones. Oh wait, this year there is. Let's see how Montoyo acts in this situation. -

St. Louis was the worst team last year, until they weren't. If you get 16 wins or this year 19 wins against much fewer losses at a time when they don't give out participation points for making it to overtime, you're the best team.

It's great. Maybe they shouldn't be a s***** team that tanks? I wish stuff like this happened in sports all the time so terrible front offices can't mask their terribleness with "trust the process" type slogans. If I had my way, I'd set up the draft so the teams that make the playoffs go 1-16 in reverse order of standings with the lottery then 17-32 for the rest. If you JUST miss the playoffs, you pick #32. You tank, you pick #17. If you make the playoffs as a s***** team that gets beat up in the first round, you're getting a lottery pick. That oughta stop the tanking.
