I kind of like the idea of Burnett. He won't cost as much, the Phillies owe us from the Doc trade, and his salary commitments aren't long term. I might wait a month or so and make sure the walk rate goes down a bit, but his groundball rate has been much higher the last few years so I think he would fit.

man maybe thole is a better hitter for real this year...great approach again.

Francisco took two pitches, got into a good count and hit a ball hard. He didn't roll over on a changeup outside the zone..he just got on top of a ball a bit, but it was a decent pitch to hit and he hit it hard. A good major league average is .280. You are not so factually correct as you might like to think..lol

I Know most are attributing Thole's start to pure luck...but it does seem like he's really focused on getting on base. He seems way more patient and looks to be taking controlled swings. He's been decent behind the dish this year too!
