Hey junior, isn't it past your bedtime yet? So many on here post sample ridiculously small sample sizes all the time to support their argument. Why should I be immune from this. I'd love to talk about his arm action and what I've seen, but I understand that sort of thing is frowned upon. It's all about the statistics. Well, he's only pitched 30 innings since making adjustments that AA talked about that helped clean some things up and springboard him to the bigs. I'd prefer a larger sample size myself, but what are you going to do.
My position is that utilizing a larger sample size looking at a greater body of work, where change occurred all the time makes no sense. Sure, his impressive start will likely have hick ups and set backs. You make adjustments all the time as you begin to fall into bad habits, but the foundation was built over the past several years. He was promoted because the club felt like he had a strong enough foundation to handle the big leagues and make the adjustments one needs to make at this level over time. Personally, I think the kid looks pretty f***ing good.
I Know, I'm just suppose to look at his minor league stats and realize that moving him at the deadline for a prado like player would have been the best thing to do, but I just have to play devils advocate and go against the herd on that one.
