  1. I'll take the opposite side of this one. He gets a ton of swing and misses. His slider and curve could both be above average pitches.
  2. this team is cursed
  3. SRF is having a very encouraging season...why you have him as a bust...he struck out 10 and walked 1 tonight over 6 in his second start at AAA/
  4. nice to SRF bounce back and have a solid start.
  5. that look from Maile was priceless.
  6. Yeah, I'm sure the majority of teams love the handful of teams that regularly spend 100 million more than they do in payroll. You don't need permission to colour outside the lines and do something bold. I really could give a flying F... what the Yankees or Red Sox or San Diego Padres think. I would offer Vlad 10 year 100 mil in a heart beat. I don't think he would accept it though. I don't see how offering a 19 year old 100 mil for 10 years of service is more risk than offering pitchers like Greinke and Price over 200 mil for 6 and 7 year deals.
  7. feels like forever since we've had a 3 up 3 down first inning
  8. how did smoak not make it to third on that play
  9. I think it's a tropical fruit. Seriously though, if Morales' .OPS drops below Vlad's batting average can we bring him up. I mean bring up Biggio and give him a look. He's 23. Anyone other than Morales would be preferable right now. Admit your mistake and move on. There have been plenty of good moves to offset this disaster.
  10. You can say that about most GMs in the game. They all trade a young pitcher or position player at some point that turns into something pretty good. Shapiro traded Chris Archer for Mark Derosa once upon a time as well.
  11. Donaldson had an .837 OPS in June last year and a .707 OPS in July and then he absolutely went off in August and September. Josh played games not fully healthy at the beginning of the year and hasn't been barreling the ball up yet, but I think it's a mistake to think he's in a pretty major decline. He's going to get hot.
  12. Larry put up a .906 OPS in his last 144 games in his age 37 and age 38 years playing in St. Louis. He played through a herniated disk in his neck in his last season which covered a 100 games in St. Louis and he still put up those numbers. At an age where his skills should have deteriorated significantly from his peak, he put up hall of fame offensive numbers. He did so being able to only turn his head to one side. It's beyond ridiculous the guy isn't in the hall. I think he gets in via the veterans committee though.
  13. Why is urshela on this team when we could have just brought up biggio and put solarte at short until diaz is ready.
  14. Gurriel had a .537 OPS. I can't believe you think it matters whether it's Urena or Gurriel in the MLB. We need Diaz and Tulo back.
  15. 18 pitches seen by the 7-8-9 hitters....I'll take it.
  16. come on Kevin...let's put another one on the board.
  17. we could just bring up Vlad and go get Bumgarner and take on the beasts of the east.
  18. Ok we need to end it this inning
  19. On April 25th it was reported Tulo was to begin baseball activities this week. Has there been an update since? What sort of baseball activities is Tulo doing?
  20. he wouldn't have scored on that play anyways
