He's not a 4A scrub, but he's no star either. He's a slightly below average hitter for his career and hasn't been great the last 3 years. He had a .297 OBP coming in. I was wondering why the sox had him as the leadoff hitter, but 2 hits and a homer....who am I to judge.

It's blowing dead to right and hard. Rowdy has nothing good vibes playing the Sox. His career OPS against them is something like 2.5. I hope he gets an AB at some point tonight.

It's a bit of an overpay, but the contract ends in his age 36 season. Springer is being paid until age 36 too. I like our number better for Springer, but it must make you nervous Jim.
