  1. A fool me once, shame on me; fool me twice, shame on you is in full force for next season. Don't think anyone's going to buy into 'odds' or 'WS favorites' nonsense anymore until they prove it
  2. but like no stats shows that... Santana is better RHH against LHP than LHH against RHP, and in his 49 IP, Mayza has a 25.9% HR/FB rate. What even, what the f*** like Mayza didn't even make a bad pitch but Santana read it all the way.
  3. Springer had a 75% probability to catch it based on the route he took. He stopped because he saw Bo call him off. Again check the tweet by Chris Black. Even if he didn't catch - ball would be infront, 1 or 2 runs at most instead of bases clearing. He needs to realize what he's doing - if that was not a 100% play for him, why risk that? Why override your CF (who have the better angle whether the play is made or not made) when they are calling for it? If it was only HIM who could get to it, then fine. Springer was calling for it and you do not, as an IF, ever override the outfield who have a better angle on flyballs
  4. I just want someone to ask Schneider: why Mayza-Santana matchup (who thought that was a good idea) and why the lack of aggressive defensive substitutions when up by 7?
  5. Worst loss in a playoff game in MLB since 1929. Setting the standards.
  6. Rather have him deal with JRod with no one on next inning than Santana with 3 men on. If it went all the way around so JRod batted that very inning, then Mayza just sucked and its entirely on him. This is just stacking the deck against him and hoping he pulls out a rabbit from a hat.
  7. He called it like three times - check the video I posted (tweet) in General Jays Discussion. Bo does this - he completely ignores OF calls and tries to heroball it. Did it in the NY series as well, called both Springer and Teo off and then dropped the ball.
  8. Like even if it drops, would be 1 run or 2 runs at best. Springer would throw it back in. We would still be taking the lead into the 9th. He does this all the time - there's just no oversight. I really hope someone coaches him for next year to stop trying to save the world.
  9. This f***er's hero ball BS, jesus christ.
  10. Our core itself is flawed though, aside from Manoah (but I feel like he played out of his mind this year and might get better based on his work ethic/more endurance training or might not and get unlucky next year - xFIP of 3.98). Kirk - hits well but has limited power (.ISO of 130) and doesn't have the speed to abuse that (stealing bases) and he also seems to get fatigued very easily. Maybe he makes strides with his health. Vlad - immature, somehow decided to have little to no plate discipline this year, peppers the ground, explosive athlete but also long-term, no idea how he's going to shape up or what form we are gonna get Bo - works hard but still awful at throwing, dude wants to be a hero and that has cost him quite a bit this year (including playoffs), maybe September is his true form or is the rest of the year his true form and September was just when he had a hot streak. Like the question marks are there.
  11. Rewatched the Bo nonsense, dude needs to stop playing hero ball. He should not have f***ing tried to even attempt that - did that in NY series too.
  12. At least own up to the move, wtf. Them outplaying you by making a switch-hitter switch to where he hits better from?! This could, as well, be Arash's dumb reporting.
  13. I stand by what I said - this lost the game. It is one of the stupidest things I have ever seen in MLB playoffs, outdoing the Kevin Cash nonsense & Brandon Hyde nonsense. If you wanted to take out Kevin, fine, f***in bring Garcia or Bass out then. WHY MAYZA?
  14. Not happening; AZ is not breaking up their all-star/MVP OF setup.
  15. I posted his splits up there in an image. IF the analytics thought it was a good option, those guys need to be fired. 162 games showed Mayza cannot pitch to righties and 162 games showed Santana blasts lefties. What the f*** is so special about Mayza-Santana matchup that it'll overrule 162 games of stats even if we assume they never faced each other
  16. Better collapses to come next year, no worries. Seem to be one-upping it every year.
  17. nah post-game interview he said "we wanted him batting from the right side"
  18. Greatest move by a manager in the history of this team's baseball. What in the literal f***.
  19. f***in move man. The move that destroyed this game.
  20. I hope George gets all the first aid he needs and comes back healthy.
  21. Bo trying too hard to be a star and he's genuinely being an idiot. Going into CF to get a ball needs to stop.
  22. I agree, the entire back end was a lot of BABIP going against us. That is why I am pissed off at that specific move because that was unequivocally a bad move, he stacked the deck against Mayza and expected a miracle. Like Mayza didn't even throw a bad pitch, that was painted bottom/away - Santana lifted that. Its just bad choice. You should've kept Kevin in or went with Garcia for a K.
  23. Yes, but I also see Fairbanks/Helsley completely f***ing up too - two of the best relief pitchers in the game. Cash managed the fairbanks situation perfectly and Guardians didn't score, game went to 15th - lost to Kluber cause they had no arms left. Marmol f***ed up Helsley and left him in too long, and Cards lost the game. THAT'S THE DIFF
  24. Zimmer is not on the roster. I think they held JBJ to lift Springer late.
