    As you read through the article position by position you constantly hear the "player blank will no doubt be on upgrade on the combination of *past players* who put up below replacement level production last season." Amazing we even won 70+ games.

The depth additions are huge. A lot of expected gain with even modest projections. Potential for a lot more as well.

    Not sure if you guys have caught any of Ben Wagner yet, but due to Easter I had to listen to a couple games on the radio the past few days, he's legit. Great voice and gives an excellent description of the plays for the listener. No one can replace Jerry, but in terms of the next best thing they nailed it. You can hear him a bunch in this clip, he calls the Smoak Slam at around the 1:50 mark If a mod can embed that bad boy that'd be great I couldnt seem to get it to work

    The point was giving him an opportunity to hit should hardly qualify the organization as a "circus"

    Historically, strong numbers in the NPB have translated well to the MLB. He's shown he can hit at a high level, he shouldn't be barred from that opportunity in the MLB based on a few at bats

    Yeah if he can keep his K rate and get his BB /9 back to below 4 then he'll creep back closer to 1 WAR and be a useful piece

    He hasn't been very good the last 3 seasons amassing only 1.0 fWAR over that time. That being said, I like the no risk signing as well

    I've seen a lot of people suggest stubhub and it is a good bet, but they've increased their fees pretty significantly the last few years. I would try tickpick. Its the same concept but there aren't any fees for the buyer. I've found it to be less expensive for the most part, GL

    Its not so much higher ratings but the cost involved. They need to send a whole crew for each ST game aired, it doesn't cost them anything to replay top 50 plays on the month for the 300th time.

    They know what they have in Sanchez, a bunch of solid 2-3 IP spring starts wont shift that view. My guess is they'll be wary of his inning count after so many blister problems last season, and a strict inning count the season before. I wouldn't expect him to be slotted above #3
