Well as Boxy always points out, my grammar has never been great. Then again it is better than a lot on this board. EEK is what i think when contemplating a Drabek start. or should I have said Yuk!

Thanks for the sanity post. I love baseball and travel from Alberta all over to watch it but some seem to live or die with the jays fortunes. Society in general is like that, wanting everything now and unwilling to wait till they can afford it. We have gutted enough of the farm so unless it is a sure thing at the deadline why gut more.

I can't believe you did a post like this then mentioned Kershaw and Drabek in the same post . lol your right this board needed some humor so thanks for giving us that. To the people who missed the sarcasm? Drabek and McGuire if we are really lucky will be moved to the pen and MAYBE we can still eke out some value.

A deal with the Cubbies seems most likely as they have the pieces . It will empty the farm and right now I'm not sure AA does that . He may just live with what we have till after the Allstar break.

Sounds like a great trip. I'm trying to do all the parks so I have to head East from now on . I too live in Alberta. Seattle is our closest park and it is a great place to watch the jays if you get a chance

Absolutely no way I give up Norris for Valbuena. Yes he is having a not bad year but he hasn't hit prior to this year. Prado can be had for a salary dump, defensively he is OK won't hit a bunch and the Snakes would have to eat some of his 11 mil for 2 more years contract. Not sure what Headley costs or if he could be fixed but right now there just isn't a lot of sellers.

Enjoy the Games, always a good place to watch the Blue Jays . Polite fans unlike at dodger stadium, My worst baseball experience was at Chavez Ravine. Hit San Fran on your way back as PacBell/AT&T is the nicest park in baseball IMO and again nice fans or drive down to San Diego as a Petco baseball experience is great.

I feel positive that Bautista is only day to day and Lawrie is out more to 4 weeks than 6 .

Yes the injuries hurt but all these Season is done posts are just dumb . We lived without Rasmus for how long platooning Gose and Pillar, I'm sure we can live without Bautista for at most 15 days . Lawrie is a different story and AA will have to make a decision. Right now there are few 2nd base 3rd base options out there available. certainly Prado could be had for nothing but he is owed a huge chunk 11 mil for 14, 15 and 16 and has an OPS well under 700 with little speed . Headley is available for less money but isn't hitting.

Yep I agree. As Edwin hits a bomb! How bad does that unearned run look now. Dickey has been beat up on this board but he pitched a quality start and in one of the best hitters parks in baseball that is pretty good . We are an unearned run away from being in a tie against the best pitcher in baseball .

Maybe this team needs a spark type guy to come up from the minors . Sometimes that is all it takes . Lawrie gone for 4 to 6 weeks and Bautista likely will stay off the DL so lawrie to the DL, Lind to the DL and Gose and Goins up. Kratz down and Pillar up .

7 Straight games playing in HR hitters parks . we just haven't hit enough of them.
