  1. I don't dream . His defense is terrible which is why the rumors are the Jays are NOT interested in him
  2. The thing I'm not in favor of is gutting the farm . A cheap Right handed bat for one of our infield spots I would be in favor of . Even a salary dump if Rogers is willing . i suspect they would prefer to dump prospects rather than add salary but that is so short sighted. The new management at Rogers says keep winning, Pelly says AA has the money but I'm very skeptical. Martin Prado is available for nothing if we eat the salary. The more salary they eat the higher the cost in prospects . While Prado isn't hitting great this year he has hit lefties to the tune of 782 OPS. His defense has been good and he is a career .291 hitter albeit with little power. Good in the clubhouse and able to play both 2nd and 3rd. It is all dependent on the cost in both salary and prospects
  3. We can thank the Rays again so in spite of our futility against lefty pitching with lackey starting for the Sox we probably won't lose ground
  4. Reason i didn't give that option is everyone would have voted for both
  5. I voted for a bat as it is easier to get and would cost less . Still hoping one of our starters besides Buehrle steps up and get consistent.
  6. With Happ pitching OK every 2nd start, Stroman pitching well and the Offense floundering i'm wondering what people think. Bautista is back and Kawasaki has been ok but we suck against leftie pitchers and Lawrie is probably out for another month. Do we need an Infield bat who can hit lefty pitching more than we need a starter?
  7. thanks , i needed a laugh and that gave me a chuckle
  8. McGowan had stranded 18 of 20 baserunners prior to yesterday. It wasn't the wrong move, just didn't work out.
  9. Boxy was pretty much just as negative. BTS while not liking this team was still one of the best posters on this board and it is not as good without him . I may not have agreed with some of what he posted but the Stache at least knows his baseball and contributed lots of good s***.
  10. Buehrle still dealing . how about we give him some run support here.
  11. Seems obvious to me. gibby knows the importance of every game and the value of Melky in the line up. I'm sure there is a reason for him sitting .
  12. We haven't even played them yet . If you are so down on this first place team why are you watching them . Self inflicted pain? almost like you want them to fail.
  13. Sorry! but really even his defense seems improved . As I have posted many times before! Guy could be a good catcher IF he got in shape and put the effort in. Guess that's why I dislike him
  14. I Know . how can AA not see that YOU are the obvious choice as Manager . Think of the line up we would have with you DFA,ing half this team
  15. Navarro finally played himself into shape and is actually looking good.
  16. Man reading these GDT,s when we are losing makes me think this team must be fighting the rays for last place . So depressing some of these posts. Offense is struggling without the two right handed bats. Everyone should realize we are going to have a tough time against lefties.
  17. Shut them down RA . We'll get you some runs against their BP
  18. His defense may suck but the bat has been decent
