    Do we want Houston or Texas to win the West. I'm thinking the Astros as Texas is a little worse in run differential so would be easier to track down.

    I was mostly joking but really, not me. The only time I would cheer for an AL East team is if they were playing the Yankees in a playoff series and then I would immediately cheer for their next opponent to sweep that team. Appreciate players on their teams or their style of play, sure but if the Jays are out I'm picking an NL team to root for. I am a petty man.

    I'm glad Bateman is getting playing time but figured they would keep him in the bottom of the order for a while to get his feet wet. Maybe they want to get him as many AB's as possible to see if he is going to be handle it next season.

    Depends what the plus would have been. They asked to include their top pitching prospect Riley Quick and if they had they would have done it.

    I get it but leaving early is really the only time it's used. I feel like the ump should be able to make a judgement call if a tag attempt is not even made and the guy is 4 feet off the bag but I guess it opens up other crap in that case. Seems silly but it's the rule. Even if told not to appeal they should have just done it anyway I guess.

    Anyway, it's the talk of baseball right now. I'm watching the Angels/Rangers game and they said they were going to talk about it on their postgame lol. It's all over everywhere. I got home and tuned in while it was being reviewed in New York and I was so confused what was going on. After the replay I was even more confused. It just seems nonsensical to award a run without even tagging.

    If that's true then that is ********. I guess lesson learned is when there's weird things happening just throw the ball around the horn and touch every base to be sure but still dumb as hell

    I think even after the 3rd out was recorded at 1st they could have appealed to 3rd to get it on the record that the runner left early (or in this case didn't tag at all) so they would officially wave off the run. Maybe I'm wrong. They didn't because the ump made the call to wave off the run even though it wasn't and everyone left the field thinking it was over. Just a clusterf*** all around. I still think the ump should be able to make that call without an appeal when it's as blatant as this was.
