  1. Could you guys really not work out an Ohtani deal?
  2. You're dumn. The catcher helmet and pitcher's hat are obviously made of tinfoil.
  3. Just view it as the 2021 prospect draft is being moved back 6 months. And in exchange for this slight hold back on the talent you get an extra bonus prospect draft in the Spring of 2021.
  4. And it's not like those rebuilding teams will be missing out on 2021 MLB draftees. They just have to wait half a year or so to draft them. This might actually help speed up some rebuilds. They'll get an extra shot of prospects into their system next winter instead of having to wait for Summer 2021. And I'm not sure it'll be as weak as we think it might be. 1 round worth of J2 players, 1 round worth of 26th roster guys, 2 rounds worth of midseason prospect breakouts and MLB 2020 draft prospects that were missed. All the picks are never used anyway. The draft will just be a lot flatter after the top few international guys are picked, but the talent will still be there to draft.
  5. Can’t just throw away a whole round of picks. They’ve been traded and exist.
  6. One idea to slightly increase the value of the 2021 picks would be to expand the rosters to 26 players at the time of the draft. And allow a pick in that draft to be used on a player with MLB experience to fill the 26th spot. Freeze add/drops of 25 man roster players during the draft.
  7. I can see the flat odds making sense. I feel that only the top so many pick slots should be lottery though. 5 Seems like a good number.
  8. Can we have an addendum to include unlimited DL roster spots, but players DL'd can't be added from the FA list?
  9. Similar to what we have in WTPDL? Or maybe a lottery for the top 3 picks with various odds going to non playoff teams, after those the top 3 are decided all the rest fall in line depending on win %. So the worst place the bottom team could pick would be 4th. Or have the top 5 or whatever picks lottery.
  10. Could move an OFer. One of Blackmon, Mazara, Upton, Calhoun. Cut candidates Engel, Sergio Romo, May, Plutko, Rogers can all be had for dirt cheap.
  11. Did you factor in the Skaggs comp pick?
  12. Rule 4.3 - Rule 5 Draft order will be determined by the standings of the previous season with a weighted lottery on the Top 5 picks (to help prevent intentional tanking). All other teams pick in order of their final regular season standing, with the exception of the playoff champion who picks 20th (last).
  13. Regular season. Lost in the finals. So not sure what that means? I know we started using the regular season rankings for the draft after Boxy benched his team in his only playoff appearance ever. Kind of makes sense that the actual champion gets 20th though.
  14. So our Waiver draft starts Feb 24 right?
  15. If we're talking top 50 what about Jeff Hoffman, Daniel Norris, and Franklin Barreto? Norris was up there, but not sure if he was still considered a prospect when traded. Hoffman might have just barely cracked 50 around the time. And not sure where Barreto ranked at the time of the trade, remember him being in the top 50 for a few years.
  16. Checked the system log. And yes, it was Spanky.
  17. Looks like someone reset the draft picks?
  18. Just shows Calhoun's been more consistent. I'd be worried about Peralta's shoulder. 33 years old, and had problems with it in back to back years.
  19. Peralta might not like his chances with his shoulder. Calhoun has had that one down year over the past 6. He's been consistently better, but Peralta has had slightly higher highs. Calhoun 6YR - 3.4, 3.2, 3.5, 2.1, 0, 2.5 Peralta 6YR - 1, 3.9, 0.3, 1.9, 3.9, 1.7 So 4 of the past 6 years Calhoun has out produced Peralta, and 3 out of the last 4.
  20. I'm not sure about much richer unless he did put up 4 wins, he will be turning 33 this year so there's a good chance his best years are behind him. If he's injured again could kill his value. He's probably comparable to Calhoun who'll get 2/16M, or 3/23M if the team option is picked up.
  21. I hope it wrecks the rest of your day.
  22. Depending how picky you are there's Ender Inciarte, Jake Cave, Odubel Herrera.
