  1. Finished top 10 in wRC+ in AAA as well.
  2. Everyone has been playing everywhere in AAA.
  3. I'd include Barger there as well. He played quite a bit of 3B, seemed like he got more starts there than Martinez. Looking at Buffalo's lineup it seemed like they had a different 3B every game. I took a small cluster of games and the starting 3B included Barger, Martinez, De Los Santos, Palmegiani, Clement, and Lantigua. Maybe the legit plan all along is to go into spring training with a competition for 3B, see who shows up to spring training in the best shape of their life and catches fire.
  4. The more I think about it the more I think the Jays should bite the bullet and sign Bellinger. Unless they're planning to pony up for Luis Robert in trade. The FA market for OFers isn't looking good for the next few years. Soto probably ends up back with the Yankees after they outbid themselves. When guys like Schwarber and question marks like Jung-hoo Lee are getting ~20M/yr; $25/year for Bellinger isn't looking so bad.
  5. Hoskins please. Could even have him play some 1B. I stumbled upon this play again and it reminded me how stupid and annoying Vlad is. The way he lays there and waves his hand in the air when he was obviously out. Should have left him lay there and wave til the cows came home. They need to take away his water cooler and get him to be more serious about the game. Unfortunately I don't think he'll learn from his mistakes. He's that spoiled kid on the team that think they do no wrong.
  6. Bellinger is probably comparable to Nimmo who got 8/162. But with Bellinger you’d be getting his 28+29 season versus 36+37 with Nimmo.
  7. I can see a team doing that. 8/200, 25/yr. He’s still relatively young, he’d begin the final year of the contract at 35.
  8. Some people don't get that. We have a lot of quality darts to throw at the board. No need to block them with someone like Suarez.
  9. Would have probably had to move someone like Zulueta. The projections on Suarez aren't all that good. He has 1 year hitting above average in his past 4. I don't trust his fielding run value from 2023 to carry forward. We're better rolling with Biggio/Orelvis/Schneider/Barger at 3B over someone like Suarez. I think it might be Barger. He had elbow issues last year which can explain his dip in power. While at AAA he was able to lower his K rate and raise his BB rate. He was top 40 on fangraphs prospect list at one point. I'd be completely okay with going into spring training with the plan of having a Barger/Orelvis competition for 3B.
  10. Even with his high BB rate he really limited base runners. He had the best BA against, hitters only hit .180 off him. Strider should have probably won though.
  11. It’s not through Arbitration. He signed a 2 year deal I believe. Also includes a 2Mil buyout next offseason.
  12. This is going to be Darvish all over again. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/12/blue-jays-to-reportedly-sign-shohei-ohtani.html
  13. Manoah just didn’t want to admit he blew. His mind convinced him it was an injury. You can see that this is the type of athlete Manoah is. He never seemed to admit or come to terms with the fact he sucked balls this year from the start to end.
  14. I think Trout had a big thing to do with that. Chance to play with the unquestionable best hitter in the world.
  15. Start times for Toronto/LA are both not ideal for Japan.
  16. Chapman is middle of the road with the bat for 3B. His glove then moves him up a couple tiers and gives him probably too 10 status at his position.
  17. He needs to up that average if he wants the big bucks. And Jays24 approval.
  18. Steer would be an interesting target if the Reds are thinking of playing India at 1B.
  19. The hitter with the 28th highest WAR isn't impactful?
  20. You're not a moron because you question Shatkins. You're a moron because you think Varsho is trash and Moreno is a god when both performed the same last year, and are projected to be the same next year.
  21. This hits the nail on the head. You have some guys proclaiming this was the worst trade in the history of trades, and will continue to bitch about it until the day they die. Both have performed equal last year, and both are projected for equal next year. It made total sense on our end. We moved one of our surplus catchers for a top tier CF with control.
  22. That's tied for 6th with 4 other players. Including Kirk. They have Moreno getting the most games out of all of them, so it's more like 9th for him. Did you happen to check out where Varsho landed for CFers while on there?
  23. You can split off number various ways. Of those 168 PAs you referenced he didn't hit a HR in his last 76 of them while only putting up a 106wRC+. Which is more in line with his larger season sample size.
  24. 19 catchers had a higher wRC+ than Moreno. Defense was just above average. Moreno is a very middle of the pack catcher. Maybe he gets better, maybe he doesn't
  25. 28th highest WAR among batters isn't impact?
