    Not sure I’d call that replacement level. That 92 put him 112th among qualified hitters. Where we roster what, 220+ hitters?

    Urshela seems to be one of those players that are productive but everyone finds gross and doesn’t want them. Victor Reyes falls in the same category, who would also be available for a SP. 17th ranked CF, 41st ranked OF.

    I believe so too. But there's still that chance. What could he get on a 1 year deal? 50M+ could be a possibility. Cole/Scherzer/Greinke/Strasburg are the current top earners at about 36M or just under. That's about 1.125M per game. Bauer wants to pitch every 4th day instead of 5th, so roughly 40 starts a year. If he's looking for a per game basis similar to those guys that puts him at 45M for the year, then tack on an extra 5M since it's a 1 year deal with no long term commitment/risk for the team.

    I kinda hope Bauer sticks to his word and keeps going on 1-year contracts. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out. If he stays healthy he could make a lot more money. He'd also theoretically always be on a championship caliber team.
