There is a cut down this year, same rules/numbers as previous years. It's going to be put to a vote for all future years there'll be no cut down, and just one draft. The waiver draft in this league is similar to the baseball waiver drafts were. Mostly s***, with maybe a new player or 2 coming over from Russia. Prior to the Waiver Draft teams must trim their NHL rosters down to 15 roster players and 10 prospects. Prospects can be sent back down if they're eligible starting the beginning of this season. The current prospect eligibility limits/rules are in place at the moment until this coming season starts. Entry picks are good for any player taken in the NHL draft that just happened. Or any prospect that doesn't have any NHL games played. Players who are of 24 years of age at the beginning of the prospect draft will be Waiver Draft eligible, and won't be allowed to be taken in the prospect draft. I'm not sure myself if Goalies are good? I know they have less stats.

And just a heads up, picks, along with prospects and players of the partaking teams in the dispersal draft will be included. Which means 1st overall (Entry Draft) will be in the dispersal draft.

How about around the MLB's Rule 5 draft? That seems to also be around when a lot of players tend to lose their red flag on Fantrax if I'm remembering correctly?

Yes, one more owner assuming Dinger and Brenner return. There will be a dispersal draft for the new owners(mandatory), and any current owners that want to opt in (There have been a couple that have expressed interest to me about participating).

The only players that are in question right now are Brenner, KT7, Dinger, King. KT7 seems like a goner, last logged on here December 2019. Dinger is on the fence. I'll reach out to the other 2. BTS has replaced Maahface. And Scion has requested to join, just waiting on his email address and I'll transfer Vanland's former team. Edit: King is returning.

And this will be it's first year hosted through the Fantrax website. The new teams will take part in a dispersal draft using the players from the abandoned teams. Some of the players that'll be available are Nathan MacKinnon, Taylor Hall, The Tkachuk Brothers, Bryan Rust, Ondrej Palat, Ryan Strome, Tom Wilson, Victor Hedman, Jake Muzzin, Jordan Binnington, Sergei Bobrovsky, Jonathan Quick. 16 team league, Head to Head scoring. Each team has 20 roster spots and 10 prospect spots. For this offseason yes. We'll need to discuss some items after our drafts this year. Like maybe no cutdown in 2021, and just having the 1 draft a NPD, and not having a prospect threshold. Similar rules that the baseball leagues adopted.
