  1. This tells me you have no idea how free agency works, and you're one of those people who thinks a player is "traded away for nothing" when they sign with a different team.

  5. It's possible he's the best rental available at the deadline. I was looking at The Athletic's trade target tiered rankings. They have Kikuchi #2 for SPs behind Crochet.
  6. Turner's running an OPS over .900 since beginning of June and you want to cut his time? Pair that with his April, it's looking like May was just one of those bad stretches.
  7. Get Vladdy signed on a decent deal and use him him to draw in Soto. Paint a Manny/Ortiz picture to him.
  8. For guys like Turner or KK I'd like to see the team retain some or a lot of the money if it means a better prospect coming our way since they're just 1 year deals. Luckily it's looking like Turner is turning the corner with his bat and back to his April performance. wRC+ by month is 152, 8, 161.
  9. I'd try to sign Vladdy to a longterm deal for what he's currently worth. He seems like a prime years Brandon Belt type of player. Trade Bo if he can get hot before the deadline.
  10. Reported for being off topic. This is the positivity thread. Your grandmother would be disappointed in you.
  11. League average OPS is .704. Those 5 are all above that mark. Ernie Clement is above that as well. If Vlad, Bo, Springer, and Kirk performed what ALL projections were projecting we'd have a good offense with the ability to fill the lineup with 0 below average bats.
  12. Which is probably why LA moved something for him. A slight upgrade for them for a RP which they seem to grow on trees. They probably figured he wouldn't make it down to them via claim.
  13. His statcast page supports the notion that he sucks with the bat. His arm should also limit him to 2B/1B. If he had qualified he'd have the weakest arm at LF/RF/3B
  14. Maybe you should leave and wait until 2030 to come back to the board then?
  15. Might increase his chance of signing a team friendly deal this off-season.
  16. I wonder if they consider bringing Macko directly from AA.
  17. Looks like his velocity is back to 2022 levels as well.
  18. Is Manoah thinner than last year?
  19. Honestly this is what we should do, unless Vlad starts hitting, he won't be worth his salary next year. I'm not sure Atkins will be allowed to though because of the casuals and optics. Unless we can somehow sign Soto, give him Vladdy's money +. If we signed Soto, non-tender Vlad, I don't care.
  20. We signed Belt to replace Teoscar. Belt went on to hit better than Teo did the previous 2 years. You're viewing this trade with blinders on and a fantasy baseball mindset.
  21. They've been bad because players we thought we could count on have been hot garbage. Bichette is at -0.5 WAR, Springer has a wRC+ of 68. We have numerous good RPs that seem to have forgot how to throw a ball. This team needs a wakeup, Schneider needs to be fired. Let Mattingly take over.
  22. Leafs also are tied for the longest playoffs appearance streak.
  23. Probably better chance he gets nailed at 3rd.
