    And my point is that if you like a couple different guys at certain price points and one is willing to pull the trigger and the other isn't you sign the guy that's willing to sign. Why risk waiting and possibly ending up neither and then having to sign someone who you don't actually want to sign. Given the information the front office had at the time they made the right choice.

    Travis. Even though he hasn't been healthy yet now would be the time to get him on a cheap contract using his injury history as a bargaining chip. if he's healthy this year and has hit like he has so far in his MLB career his price is only going to go up.

    Oh, I didn't know Beltran was still a free agent. And there's a good chance he doesn't want to play on the Bluejays. Bautista doesn't seem to want to DH. We're already having a hard job bringing him back. Mike Napoli might work. He'd be a worse option then Morales though. And no thanks to giving up a 1st Round pick to sign Mark Trumbo. I'd rather have a guy that can get on base.

    No way I do a 1 year deal unless it's for $15M. It's not like teams are jumping at the chance to sign him. I'd give him a 3 year $50M deal with a team option for a 4th. 20-15-15-20(Option)

    There's always a better outcome. We should have kept Syndergarrd. Should have drafted Chris Sale over Deck McGuire. Could have signed Daniel Murphy last offseason. Sign Darvish when he came over from Japan. Maybe throw Chapman and Puig in there too. Maybe while we're at it we should probably draft that Trout kid. Hot damn, look at that team we got!
