  1. I think we all here would as well, though I doubt Detroit moves Castellanos for a reliever. Possibly for a bigger piece maybe.
  2. Wouldn't a bullpen arm like Francisco Rodriguez come cheaper to those teams looking to shore up the ninth? The Brewers have a bunch of relievers as well who they are shopping so it's not like Janssen is the only closer on the market. Really the two clubs that need a closer are Detroit and Boston.
  3. Not sure the Jays would be able to get Castellanos or Wong as much as I'd love them to for Janssen.
  4. Even though I didn't have any picks in the first or second round this year, I was happy with the picks I made. Cesar Puello could be a steal for me, and guys like Michal Johnson, Dillson Herrera and Tyler Pike could turn out to be decent picks as well. Still like my draft from March as well, though likely would have taken Sano over d'Arnaud if I had to do it again. Still have Arenado, Singleton, and Matty Davidson.
  5. Could have had Chris Davis for nothing a couple of years ago. I remember I mentioned his name on the old forum numerous times, and many legitimate posters (such as Zaunbies) shut the idea down completely saying Davis was garbage and wouldn't amount to anything. I've never anticipated Davis having this amazing of a year though. I always thought he'd be a monster, able to hit around 35-40 HR's, though never thought he'd hit .320 and be on the pace for 60 + HR's like he is now.
  6. Yeah I was figuring how many haha. Every time I was clicking submit, I figured they'd stop me at like 25 or something. Crazy.
  7. I'll go with JPA. It's his bobblehead day haha!
  8. EE is due so I'm rolling with him.
  9. I'm dropping Blanco anyways if I make a deal with Cats Ass anyways, so you can add Myers/drop Blanco then. Me and him are close to a deal anyways, so it should likely get done.
  10. I sent you a counter which was very fair and not much of a difference between the other idea you proposed.
  11. I''m waiting to hear back from Got Head for Miles on a deal, which would open up a roster spot on my team and/or on my farm as well. Thought we had a deal done when he asked for a certain prospect, but suddenly the price tag went up within the last three hours. If not, I'll likely drop Blanco haha from my MLB roster and callup Myers. Sorry for the delay.
  12. I never got anything that blew me away. Spanky offered me something good, though I would have been getting a player entering his mid-30s, where I was looking for a potential top young guy in his 20's. I think to be honest, I was getting better offers on Jonathan Singleton in terms of value than Carlos Santana haha.
  13. It's funny, one manager used that same exact excuse about Santana, worrying about his catcher eligibility in 2015 or 2016 and was using that to downplay his value. It was just ridiculous. I think the players he offered were pretty laughable as well. Don't know who it was, but wow was he looking way too much into the future. You can say that about any player then haha.
  14. Anyone looking for some OF depth - Alfonso Soriano, Seth Smith are available. Would be looking at draft picks for next season or a similar veteran pitcher of value. Also, Tommy Hanson can be had for a 2014 pick as well.
  15. I think its a good deal for both sides. I dangled around Santana's name for a while and I wasn't that intrigued by the offers I was getting to be honest. Baffled my mind. Catchers are tough to find. I do have V-Mart right now who's starting to turn it around and hopefully d'Arnaud turns out to be solid. As for Santana, he's a solid offensive catcher, though I'm not sure he ever becomes a .900 + OPS bat like a Buster Posey. Still Kev gets a huge upgrade at catcher and definitely this gives him a nice push towards the playoffs. I needed a young outfielder and I'm hoping Myers is a guy that I can build my franchise around. I was looking for a top 5 prospect who was ready to step in and Myers fits the bill.
  16. Don't forget Jason Marquis as well. He's a big part of this deal. Ugly K/BB ratios and WHIP, though those 9 wins and that ERA!
  17. I'll go with Rasmus today
  18. Ah Scott Feldman pitching in the AL East, not to sure I think he's a significant add to the Orioles rotation. I could see him being a decent No. 4 or 5 starter who eats innings, though that's about it.
  19. I'll go with DeRosa if he's in the starting lineup today. If not, then I'll go with Bautista.
  20. Not really when you consider his defence behind the plate and the fact that he does have some decent pop for a catcher. He still put up a 2.0 WAR last season despite not having the greatest season offensively. Already this season he's at 2.4 WAR. He's 4th in catchers WAR.
  21. Nice depth move. He had solid years with Cincy back in 2010 and 2011 as a part timer/platoon role. Better than having a Blanco or Nickeas down in Buffalo.
