  1. Doesn't every MLB player adjust their crotch? lol. Heck are they going to make spitting illegal next?
  2. I think he deserves the NL Cy Young - not the MVP. He'll be in discussion for the MVP, though like I said I'd rather someone like Stanton, McCutchen or Lucroy get it.
  3. He's been really good this year. His K/BB ratio is absurd!
  4. Yeah that's why I don't see Lucroy getting much MVP consideration unfortunately, unless he pads some of his HR and RBI numbers and the Brewers make the playoffs, which is something the writers will fap about!
  5. He's a worthy candidate don't get me wrong, though my vote would go to an everyday player like Stanton or McCutch over Kershaw.
  6. Lets see if I could pull off the upset over Dinger for a second straight week
  7. My problem with Kershaw winning the NL MVP is that he might just barely pass the 200 IP mark this season. He's still in the conversation though I'd still give it to Stanton or McCutchen over Kershaw first.
  8. His batting average isn't .300 though
  9. For Headley, I know ugh!
  10. I'm unsure how much weight is given to the pitch framing estimates. I doubt many voters will take framing into consideration.
  11. I think Trout wins the AL MVP hands down. Sure his other seasons might have been better, though he has been the best in the AL and he's played a big part in the Angels winning their division. Brantley and Abreu I'm sure will get some votes, though Trout is a no-brainer for me.
  12. lol what a prima donna!
  13. He'll save the bullpen: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UJKHQG1xMDk/THx4Uw1Aq8I/AAAAAAAAAQQ/XhFhcQZXCNI/s1600/tallet.jpg
  14. Not necessarily. If the Jays went out and added some value arms for the 7th/8th inning, the bullpen could be fine. Go out and sign Luke Gregerson to pitch in the 8th and also another arm like Crain, Frasor, Hochevar, or Mike Adams. Also, bring in another cheap lefty like Scott Downs, Zach Duke or Tom Gorzelanny. Chad Jenkins Todd Redmond Scott Downs/Tom Gorzelanny/Zach Duke Jason Frasor/Jesse Crain/Mike Adams Aaron Loup Luke Gregerson Brett Cecil That's not a bad pen and it wouldn't cost much.
  15. Yeah Sanchez has been a lock out of the pen this season, though I'd prefer to see if he could make it as a starter. I'd rather get 150-180 of quality innings out of the rotation from him next season vs. 60 superb innings out of the pen. Worse case scenario, if Sanchez doesn't make it as a starter you know you have a lights out reliever. I hope they just don't mess around with him and give him every opportunity this spring to prepare as a starter.
  16. It will be interesting to see how many votes Russell Martin gets...
  17. Is Aaron Sanchez wearing a suit and bow tie? He got off easy, though he deserves it lol.

    Blocked punt!
  19. Yeah I'd sign him back at a reduced salary, if it was reasonable. Tough giving up a live arm like his for nothing. I hope they try and do something like they did with McGowan a couple of years ago.

  21. Gregerson is interesting, even as a setup man. I'd definitely take a chance on someone like Crain, Adams, Hochevar or Fujikawa for the 7th/8th inning - they shouldn't be that expensive.
