  1. Castellanos saved the day in the bottom of the 9th. I thought that ball was dropping and Houston would have scored.
  2. Do you think Bellinger is possibly non-tendered by the Dodgers?
  3. Tyler O'Neill is Canadian. Good for marketing.

Looks pretty cool. A lot of the new NFL stadiums like in Dallas, LA, New York, Minnesota all look top notch. Shocked they don't have a retractable roof though.

    Bet the Packers
  6. John Mozeliak did say the Cardinals will look at external options for behind the plate. Willson Contreras is a big FA name. Other options are Christian Vazquez and Omar Narvaez. Blue Jays could definitely be a trading partner.

Big win against Cleveland last week for the Home Opener. Back-to-back road games in Brooklyn and Miami was always going to be tough. Coming back to win the second game in Miami was huge. Now beating the 76ers in the first game. Hope they could squeeze out a win on Friday as well. So far the Raps have held their own.
  8. Kluber posted a 3.0 WAR and 3.57 FIP this past season. The last two years he's been in the AL East and he's been quite good. On a one-year contract with him as your No. 4-5 starter, that's not bad at all.
  9. Keith Law used to be one of favorite writers back in the day. He has completely gone so woke its disgusting. Huge beta!
  10. For an arm who is going to be 34-years-old next season, no thank you. A lot of other guys who you can sign on one or two year deals and at a better price IMO.
  11. Corey Kluber on a one-year deal. Shapiro/Atkins know him from their days in Cleveland.
  12. Yeah both Romano and Abreu were very close in terms of value they provided in 2022. Romano has more experience in the later innings and closing, whereas Abreu has mainly been used in the 6th/7th inning this past season. Though Abreu's FIP and K-BBs are elite. Abreu has cheaper arb projections since he hasn't racked up that many saves or holds. Romano and Abreu overall are pretty even like you said in terms of value. Adding Abreu to this bullpen would drastically improve it. Him and Romano in the late innings would be an awesome duo.
  13. You should know very well that ERA isn't the only indicator you judge a pitcher on. He had a down year in 2022 yes, though still put up solid numbers across the board. His K numbers and FIP numbers are still very elite. He would have been the Jays second most valuable reliever this season behind Romano. If he puts up similar numbers to his 2021 season which I think is a reasonable expectation, he's a huge upgrade to this bullpen overall.
  14. Lmao you keep propping up Conforto who you own in some leagues as well
  15. He's been one of the best relievers in baseball since 2018.
  16. 2018: 2.33 FIP, 9.88 K/9, 1.8 WAR 2019: 2.85 FIP, 11.74 K/9, 2.1 WAR 2021: 2.13 FIP, 13.17 K/9, 1.5 WAR 2022: 3.32 FIP, 11.75 K/9, 1.0 WAR He's been one of the best relievers in baseball since 2018.
  17. He did stink before, though he's found new life as a reliever. This season: 1.98 ERA, 2.98 FIP, 10.09 K/9, 1.3 WAR, 5 saves, 14 holds His BB rate is a little high though if he improves in that area, he definitely can be even better. Would love to see the Jays work with him. Definitely would be nice to have him and Mayza as the two lefties down in the pen. Probably won't cost as much as a Rogers, so he's not a bad Plan B option.
  18. Stripling can't even pitch more than 5 innings per outing because he can't pitch three times through an order. I think the Jays could use that $20M much more efficiently on another arm + other pieces. Strip was awesome this season, though expect some regression in 2023 a bit. He's not worth $20M regardless. There are so many other SPs available via free agency and trade who likely won't cost as much.
  19. Yeah would rather pay Carlos Rodon $25M-30M over Stripling at $18-19M. Jays would be foolish to qualify Chicken Strip.
  20. Don't qualify Stripling. If he accepts, he gets $18-19M which is a bit excessive for a starting pitcher who only lasts 5 innings and can pitch only twice through a lineup. So many other quality starters available during free agency. I'm sure the Jays can nab one or two at a decent price. A lot of other LHB's available who can DH and play an outfield spot as well like Michael Brantley, Andrew Benintendi, Joc Pederson, Brandon Nimmo, Joey Gallo. Conforto can be an option for sure, depending on the price, though a lot of options available. Jays should at least sign one of those guys above. Would love to see Carroll and Jameson.
  21. Diaz would cost a ton and I'm not sure the Jays will blow their entire load on him this offseason. How much do you think he gets? I'm all for it and would rather spend money on an elite reliever than trade assets for Bednar, though I think signing Rogers is more realistic for the Blue Jays in terms of team needs and cost. Romano hasn't done anything to lose the closers role IMO.
  22. Yeah of course. Moore isn't a bad Plan B if the Jays can't sign Rogers and wouldn't be as expensive which is a plus.
  23. Joe Mantiply is interesting as a lefty reliever. Which SPs did you have in mind? I don't think they trade Kelly and if they did, likely would ask a lot because of his team friendly contract. I like Stone Garrett.
  24. Jansen + Biggio for Urquidy + Abreu Not sure they would accept that though.
  25. Yeah I don't think so either. Prefer to have him paired with a back-end SP like Urquidy.
