  1. Geoff Baker was an idiot.
  2. Sounds good haha!
  3. Lucky for the extra WC spots haha. Criticizing or questioning some things about a GM doesn't make you a hater. I do think some posters on here glorify Atkins and this FO too much but that's alright. I don't think he's a bad GM at all, but also don't think he's been amazing given the results so far. Go back and read my posts on how many times I've said good things about him. If the Jays do win the World Series this season, I will do what the Hurl promised to do if Tim Collins recorded a MLB save.
  4. Hope we both meet in the Finals and I whoop your ass haha. But not looking good for me. If we do, $100 bet!
  5. What are you talking about? You can't even criticize or question anything anymore these days, geez! Stop getting all worked up you dingleberry!
  6. Jays taking care of the AL East opponents which is nice! Sweeping Boston and taking the first two against the Bronx Bombers! Great bounce back from the Texas series! Right now Jays are in control. Just continue to take care of business and they should get in!
  7. He probably never even watched Varsho play before he was acquired by the Jays.
  8. I said in the other thread when looking back maybe Atkins could have done a better job at improving the teams defense without sacrificing much offense and I was bombarded by you and others. Yet you just said you're giving Varsho a mulligan on this season in regards to his bat because he played mainly LF but next season since he'll be CF, it will all be good. Pretty much that's what's going to happen this upcoming offseason. Varsho will move to CF and the Jays will target a more offensive minded player for LF given the offensive struggles this season. All I was saying, maybe that could have been beneficial this season if the Jays went that route.
  9. Kelvim Escobar in 2003: hold my beer!
  10. So you're saying Atkins should have put Varsho in CF and go after a bigger bat in LF instead of signing KK?
  11. Would sign JD to a cheap one year deal if the Jays can't sign or trade for a better 3B.
  12. Stanton looks finished. But still would be tied for the Blue Jays lead in HR's lol.
  13. I can't think of any more Bryant's. I think we exhausted the list.
  14. Agree 100% with this.
  15. Gausman hasn't been pitching that well lately, but hope he has a big game tonight and turns it around.
  16. Maybe next offseason, the Jays target players in better shape!
  17. There is nothing wrong in questioning if Atkins could have done a better job during the offseason in improving the teams defense without sacrificing that much offense. Yes most of the blame lays on the players, but Atkins put this team together at the end of the day. He owns some of it. As for the deadline, there were definitely bats available. Don't make it seem like there weren't any. As well, the Jays could have addressed the issue earlier before the deadline if they wanted to, but meh.
  18. Could have Atkins done a better job at improving the defense without sacrificing too much on offense? Definitely a question we could ask given the struggles offensively this season. I was a fan of the moves he made last offseason but when looking back, was there anything different he could have done? As well, could have he addressed the issue better before and at the trade deadline by acquiring another bat or two? Manoah wasn't the ace last season FYI. It was Gausman.
  19. That Harper HR ruined his chances of lowering his ERA below 3.50 most likely haha. Acuna possibly going 40/70 which is crazy. One of the most exciting players in the game. Him and Ohtani IMO are the face of baseball right now.
  20. If he gets to 20 wins, I think he has to be a lock amongst the old school voters over Snell.
  21. Yeah nobody is a lock. Things could still go down to each of these guys last couple starts of the year. Strider has the impressive W-L record and K's on his side. Snell has the low ERA and solid K rates.
  22. You're only saying he'll win because he just became the favourite over the last week or two. He's not a lock by any means.
  23. Not a fan of the high walk total. He could likely finish the season with 100 BB. Strider and Wheeler have had the better seasons IMO. Just their ERAs are on high side.
