  1. Rules: "Only unowned players who have never played an MLB game and who belong to an MLB parent team are eligible to be drafted. Players who have been drafted by an MLB parent team are eligible to be drafted, even if they have not signed with the parent club (as our annual draft will occur before the signing period has concluded). Drafted prospects that go unsigned and/or return to college may be kept at the owner’s discretion." Also guys, let's limit the name dropping. This is kind of an important stage of the draft.
  2. I'm looking to move up to about # 9 or 10, if anyone is willing to move down to #19 for some compensation.
  3. As a caution to those trading their top picks for depth, here's an LOD flashback from our resident baseball Nostradamus. "Looks like depth will be overvalued. Excellent." - Boxy, Nov 1, 2014
  4. Sure, why not. Who is up first?
  5. Not sure I'll be ready by Monday. Stupid R keeps crashing.
  6. Yes. Very much. Just finished with my spreadsheets.
  7. I don't understand why people expect Pillar's performance to drop. Most of his WAR came from defense, and it's not like you get lucky on defense. It's not like he just jumped blindly and the ball happened to fall in his glove. He's a skilled defender who probably reads the ball better than anyone else in the game. It's a tool, beyond the five that the scouts drool over. I see absolutely no reason to think his defense will decline, and Steamer predicts his offense will actually be slightly better. My only concern is the toll that kind of effort puts on his body, especially at Roger's Center. He can't keep that up forever. I'm willing to bet anyone $20 Pillar puts up a 3 WAR season in 2016. (minimum 550 AB)
  8. Not sure if you've ever had the misfortune of listening to a Halladay interview, but the guy says 'you know' about 50 times every 5 minutes. It's absurd. He should get some public speaking help.
  9. Actually, I forgot about Saunders coming back. Between him and Pompey, one of them should be able to stick and stay healthy.
  10. He'll be the closer. Book it. If the Jays let any of the young guys close, then their arb salaries will go up as a result of collecting saves. They'll only have Osuna or one of the others close if they're desperate.
  11. Not sure why everyone is so excited about this trade. We just traded a 2-WAR player for a 1-WAR player, while taking on higher salary, and having only one year of control instead of two. Better hope Pompey works out this year, or this trade is gonna be looking really bad, when we start trotting Colabello out in left field again next year.
  12. Ask him again in about 20 days. He might be more forthcoming then.
  13. Do we have a date for this draft yet?
  14. Yes. Very excited to have Smoak's .699 career OPS coming out of the 1B/DH spot. Hommmerunnnzzzz is good.
  15. Trading Tulo now, after a disappointing 2015 would be a huge mistake. Let him rebuild his value this year, and then hopefully, we can trade him for a bunch of prospects (as well as salary relief). Although I suspect that if Tulo turns it around, no one will have any interest in trading him. Fans always have the 'sell low, buy high' mindset.
  16. Not judging someone's fantasy skill because they only half-cared, is like not judging someone's driving skill because they were only half-sober.
  17. Why is that? Did you get stuck with a weak draft slot?
  18. I'm not going to list them, but there are definitely teams with far weaker drafts. Baltimore had one of the strongest starting rotations in the league. Offense was pretty bad though.
  19. Not even close to the worst fantasy team even in this league: Freddie Freeman 1B - ATL Christian Yelich CF,OF - MIA Michael Wacha SP - STL Alex Wood SP,RP - ATL Sonny Gray SP - OAK Salvador Perez C - KC Kevin Gausman SP - BAL Carlos Martinez SP,RP - STL Trevor Rosenthal RP - STL Jon Singleton 1B - HOU Ken Giles RP - PHI Jonathan Schoop 2B - BAL Tyler Matzek SP - COL Christian Walker 1B - BAL Zach Walters UT - CLE Angel Pagan CF,OF - SF David Murphy OF - CLE Jeff Locke SP - PIT Kendall Graveman RP - OAK Zach Putnam RP - CHW
  20. Pretty impressive. Are you the one doing all the web design?
  21. I think he means someone could reach out to you and beat the new guys offer.
  22. It's really not that good of a deal. Yanks are giving up all those prospects to rent Chapman for one year, and possibly losing him for part of that time due to a suspension.
  23. I actually think FS got the upper hand in that trade.
  24. Oh, could it be that yours truly holds the pole position, for the DDL, affectionately known as the FIAB league outside of DDL circles?
