  1. Exactly. Given how money-oriented Donaldson has been, the odds of him coming back to the Jays are slim to none anyways.
  2. That's not really fair. They're offering Donaldson plenty of money. You have to draw a line somewhere. If they offered him $12 million, and Donaldson wanted $12.5 million, would we have to give it to him to avoid being cheap? If they offered him $14 million, and Donaldson wanted $14.5 million, would they have to give it to him to avoid being cheap? Donaldson is being petty. The Jays won his arb case last year and will prob win again this year. Which means, the Jays are being generous enough in their offers.
  3. I dunno. They gave up 40 spots in the draft, to move up six. On the other hand, looks like their guy would have been taken if they hadn't. Still, seems like a big price to pay.
  4. Hey man, no problem. I remember being a newb trying to get my chance to show these Fangraphs sheep that I know fantasy baseball as well as they do. And there are always openings in the serious dynasty leagues. And if not, and we have enough serious players established through this, we can start a new dynasty league.
  5. 21 people signed up. 12 invitations sent out. 8 people officially signed up (spot is confirmed)
  6. You have to pm me with your email
  7. Yup, sent you an invite.
  8. Surprised Reed was so high for everyone. Thought I could get him in the 20's pretty easily.
  9. Spittin just double sniped me. I don't need any more picks for a long time.
  10. OK, I'm looking to acquire an upcoming draft pick. Looking to swap #39 with a pick around 10-ish. Will give you #99 MLB pick for downgraded pick (ideally around 130-140)
  11. He's ranked #62 in the MLB Top 100 prospects. I always figure people will go by that, and based on that, there's about 40 guys that should go first (once you weed out the guys that have seen MLB).
  12. Summary: 21 People signed up. 4 E-mail invitations sent out. 3 People Signed Up. (Nafro, TBJ12, Thomas Malthus) and therefore guaranteed a spot.
  13. OK newbs, Start sending me your e-mail addresses so I can invite you to the league. It's the only way to cement your spot in the league.
  14. I know we don't have an official window, but taking 30 hours to work out a potential trade deal is a bit ridiculous. Come on, Lafrentz.
  15. I have a feeling that letting people trade through their full trade window is gonna bite us in the ass.
  16. I think DDL members much prefer the "small pond-big fish" environment found exclusively in BBDL.
  17. Not really. This is H2H, so SB still makes up 1/14th of the total value. It means that guys who have a high success rate of stealing will be worth even more, and players who steal 4 bases and get caught 3 times during the season, aren't going to help you out much in that category. Besides, it more accurately reflects the value of a player.
  18. LOL? Any reason or do you just have the mindset that things that are different need to be made fun of?
  19. OK, I've created the league. Looks like we are going to have 20 or more teams (max is 24 so there are still a few spots left). If your name is already on the list, and you're still interested, send me a PM with your email, and I'll send out an invite with the link to join. I've set the tentative draft date for March 1st, with 8 hour picking windows, (stopped between 11:30 PM and 7:30 AM. So, it should be pretty easy to make your picks on time. Pitching Categories: Wins, Strikeouts, Holds, Saves, ERA, WHIP and K/BB Hitting Categories: HR, Runs, RBI, Net SB, AVG, OBP, SLG Rosters: 25 total roster spots (21 active). C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, CF, LF, RF, EH SPx5 RPx7 Benchx4 It's a head-to-head format, where you can get one point for each category you win against your opponent. So, if you sweep everything, the best you can do is 14-0 in any given week. Also, we've set it so that lineup changes are only done once a week. That way, you don't have to change lineups every day, and don't have to worry about people streaming pitchers. FYI: Don't use your spam email account, as you'll receive important emails involving league changes, draft dates, and trade offers to this email.
  20. Jeffrey Loria. (if all of baseball). If just players, I don't have any that I really hate. Probably some KC pitcher.
  21. Don't believe the Yankee hype. I remember when they were trying to tell us that Joba was the next Nolan Ryan.
  22. Ah, I'll take Julio "Your-Eye-Is" f***ed up.
  23. Now I'm having a hard time deciding between Buxton and Seager.
  24. And Havok if offline. Frick! Guess we're waiting until tomorrow then (at least).
