  1. AA pitching is a joke compared to MLB pitching. If you think Vlad is gonna come up here, and immediately mash, you are sadly deluded. There are still parts of his game that he needs to work on, and despite Morales abysmal start, throwing away ~20 million dollars, because you didn't like his first month of 2018, makes no sense at all. We can't just rip up the contracts of everybody over 32 who gets off to a bad start. Vlad needs to play everyday, and he won't make the Jays more competitive just yet. He has 2 HR in about 100 AB at Double-A and his defense sucks. (Yes, his walk and K rates are great). He isn't going to be an MLB contributor out of the gate. I do like the idea of locking him up like the Phillies did with Kingery. But if it's only for six years, what's the point? It still means we get him for 2 sub-prime years, and 4 prime years, instead of six prime years.
  2. There seems to be this concept in baseball that any player over 33 that has a bad month is useless garbage. Morales could easily turn things around. And if he does, the Jays are going to look awfully stupid having handed Boston an $11 MM/year player for $500k. You guys can talk about negative WAR all day long, but if we're talking about a firstbaseman, we still need to replace his .250/.308/.445 line. Anybody aware of any big mashers we have just sitting on the bench?
  3. Hey admin, can you move Paredes and Burnes to Kingfiller's team? Thanks.
  4. The correct answer is Logan Morrison, rocking a -0.7 WAR in April.
  5. Yerzy is a catcher anyways, not a shortstop like Russel Martin.
  6. Yeah, but he's born in Canada, so he can play for us if he wants.
  7. Gonna be looking good. Still have a few holes to fill, but if we can get all these guys out: C) Andy Yerzy 1B) Josh Naylor 2B) Freddie Freeman 3B) Vladimir Guerrero SS) Abraham Toro OF Tyler O'Neill EH Joey Votto SP1) James Paxton SP2) Jameson Taillon SP3) Nick Pivetta SP4) Mike Soroka SP5) Cal Quantrill I know Freeman doesn't usually play second, but let's get his bat in there anyways. Still need a couple outfielders, and some RP, but some really good Canadian players coming up.
  8. My dream is to see Ohtani vs Kershaw in Game 7 of the World Series. Clayton was some bitter that Ohtani picked the Angels.
  9. Apparently, Yahoo has 10 n/a slots now. We could think about changing things so that our minor league players are stored in Yahoo. Would save a lot of time for admins, and be easier for players to take players, without having to hunt through the prospect sheet first. Would require a lot of rule changes though, so not sure if it would be worth it.
  10. They should have a rule that if you beat your opponent by 30 or more runs, it counts double.
  11. Yeah, if you want to discourage people from sending you trade offers, or responding to ones that you send them, this is the way to go.
  12. Sorry man, didn't mean to rush you by giving you only 5 WEEKS to make a decision.
  13. K man, you been dragging this out for three weeks now, soliciting offers from multiple parties, and trying to start bidding wars. You gonna trade him or what?
  14. I only have one accoount in the league, since I decided to take my Silvergun persona out of it, in order to turn it into a full-time troll.
  15. While the waiver system still needs some work, the strength of FanTrax is the ability to keep minor league players, so it doesn't need to be done manually. Additionally, when you're looking to add new players, you don't have to check to make sure they're not on somebody else's minor league roster first. Of course, that aspect would only appeal to people in dynasty leagues who have a strategy of keeping a farm (IN A DYNASTY LEAGUE).
  16. You can do FanTrax money leagues though.
  17. Most of those leagues don't allow any trading. So, hard to game.
  18. Allow me to increase your understanding, by use of text alterations. IS Kershaw getting injured or traded to the AL?
  19. IS Kershaw getting injured or traded to the AL?
  20. They should have done with the Phillies did with Kingery, making Super 2 redundant.
  21. The problem is that you have to carry him on your roster all year. You can't send him down to the minors. So, fine for a rebuilding team.
  22. Also, you can skip all my future picks.
