    Get rid of the seams on those baseballs. That's the problem. Without the seams, it will be a lot easier for the hitters to recognize the pitches.

    Baseball is fairly slow to adjust strategies, but here's an obvious one. With the new extra-inning rules, a runner starts on second base. Therefore, I think if it's a tie game in the 8th+, the best strikeout relief pitchers should be saved for the tenth. Maximize the chance of stranding the runner at 2nd, and let your 2nd tier relievers handle the 8th/9th. For example, the Pirates just blew their closer in the 9th inning of a tied game against the bottom of the Reds order, leaving a 2nd tier reliever to handle the 10th inning, with the top of the order and a runner on 2nd. Needless to say, it didn't end well.

    Value is pretty close. But, it makes sense for both of us. I need pitchers more than hitters, and he needed a 2B and had extra pitchers.

    Perfect game isn't just about the pitcher. It's the whole team. It can be lost with an error, catcher's interference or passed ball - things that have nothing to do with the pitcher. It's definitely not a perfect game.

    I remember debating between taking Bieber, Zac Gallen or Zach Littell with my last draft pick. Naturally, I took Zach Littell.

    Realistically, at this point, Tony Fernandez is the only one that deserves to be invited to the reunion, but he's dead.

    Your premise implies that the highest owned (by percentage) player is the best available player, when this simply isn't the case. There's a number of quality FA bats: Asdrubal Cabrera Mitch Moreland Albert Pujols Brandon Crawford Christian Arroyo A lot of these guys available for free in this league, would fetch 3rd round draft picks in LOD

    Yeah, roster sizes might be the same, but it's still 30 teams vs 20 teams, which puts LOD 260 players deeper, plus 100 milb guys = 360 players off the board, that are available here.

    It's stupid that we're all supposed to go along with this and cheer the Blue Jays decision when we don't know all the details. We have no idea what he is alleged to have done, and how credible any of it is.

    Milone is great for about 4 innings, but then you need to get him the hell out of the game. If we use him as a long reliever, or a low-inning starter, he can be really effective. But trying to get 6 innings out of him is a terrible mistake.

    I don't understand how that was a home run ball. Bichette is a little guy. Ball was hit to dead center. He didn't even get all of it. Looked like a routine fly ball. Pound for pound, probably the strongest player in baseball.

    Could we get some commentary guys who actually get upset when the umpire steals the game from us, instead of these two jackasses who feel like their auditioning to be on the YES network. We know you guys love the Yankees, stfu already, and at least pretend you're cheering for the Jays.

    Yeah, sorry, none of those really worked. I sent comments on them all. I'm not trying to dump Hader, I'd just move him if I got a talented 1B or C. I tried to find a fit, but I couldn't really do it. Really in the market for a top-tier 1B.
