    It'd be a really solid deal in free agency, which is funny because at the time people thought it was a bad contract, if I remember correctly. As you said, it's not that good of a deal though, to give up strong assets for it.

    Also I'm about two years from a Boxy level tank according to BTS (who is probably right), so that should be buckets of fun! I have something like 5 impact players the right side of 30, one of them being Kimbrel who although is as decent a bet as any reliever to be sustainably valuable, at the end of the day is still a freaking reliever. Stanton, Jones, Donaldson and Samardzj are my only other even remotely "youngsters".

    Naw that's not entirely true, you suggested I be booted from the DDL once or twice or questioned my quality as a manager. I can dig the quotes but I don't really care, it's more just funny. Frankly, I was (and still am) the biggest unknown as a manager in the DDL, so it wasn't totally surprising to me, it was just so unjustified it was blindsiding. And yes we all had great teams let's quickly circle jerk for old times sake, yay!

    Totally and completely agreed. Boxy is a close second. Boxy and Gibbers quarrelling is a good time, also. Remember when he (No49) decided to parade unsolicited attacks on the quality of my team after like two weeks on the old board? That was fun.

    I'm just messing around with you Spence! Samardzija is what he is, a solid 2ish starter who K's like a 1, but walks a few too many is prone to a bad inning. Problem is he has 2 years of control left, so as others have said he isn't an ideal target for the Jays current situation. I'm sure most would trade for him in a vacuum.
