  1. Anyone think part of the reason he broke down young is that he worked himself too hard during his prime? Would be a cruel and ironic twist of fate.

it sucks that the trade made the team better
  3. I actually got back on Friday, so I need to change that. But yes, since the middle of August I was in Europe for an exchange program at Copenhagen Business School
  4. Studly.
  5. I wasn't even talking about Bonds I was talking about Rose haha. But I agree, for the most part with what you are saying. No hall is perfect, or even close, let's leave it at that.
  6. None of those hall votes are for sale on the internet, or keep out the leader in the most intrinsic stat of all time.
  7. So Nick promised to abandon his team and let FatCow take over if Cano went to the Mariners. Let's see if he's a welch.
  8. I agree he's definitely on that dreaded "grey area" of being hard to say. There are a lot of hitters that deserve to be in before him at the moment, for sure. Regardless, the Hall is a joke so we really shouldn't care about it. Him being perceived as a nice and hardworking guy throughout the end of the steroid era might help him though.
  9. He was taken for granted but he was also the most beloved athlete in Toronto at the time I would say, after Sundin and maybe Bosh. Difference is Sundin f***ed the leafs by not letting them trade him but whether it was selfish or not Halladay helped the Jays by letting them trade him (although his shortlist didn't help.)
  10. No one will ever get 300 wins again. Period.
  11. As I mentioned I was at that game, and it was the first baseball game I remember being at. I was destined to love baseball it seems, cause I was gifted with the perfect introduction to the game.
  12. http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=pit&lg=all&qual=y&type=8&season=2009&month=0&season1=2000&ind=0 Does being possibly the best pitcher of a decade (outside of Randy) justify a place in the Hall?
  13. First game I remember going too was his second career start, when he took a no-hitter into the ninth against the Tigers? I believe. He became my first baseball "idol" today for no reason other than being there for a good performance. I was lucky to have picked a consummate professional and a future star. This disappoints me, I hope he gets into the Hall one day even though it's a sham. He was the best pitcher of the 2000's (decade) in my opinion.

  15. Cool. Good talk.
  16. Cause he was definitely being entirely serious. You're a joke pal
  17. So does everybody
  18. So you mean JPA?
  19. JP Arencibia /thread
  20. It's funny without realizing it I actively suppressed the memories of JPA catching Dickey back in April. I know it was a colossal clusterf***, and the visual spectacle of it all should be remarkably memorable, but I cannot seem to access any memories of it happening in my mind. Talk about dealing with a traumatic experience.
