    I have a feeling Colby will extend. He seems to love it here and I honestly don't think he cares about chasing the money as much as the average MLBer. For christ's sake there is that article where he is quoted as saying all he does in the offseason is hunting, fishing and mudriding.

    The momentum really took off I think because he is familiar with Navarro and was quoted somewhere saying he loved working with him. That and he's been a rumoured AA target for like 2 years now.

    I think we have to consider the Tigers trade a value exchange anomaly, not unlike a few trades some of us might be familiar with from last winter. What did Parks say? And are you saying just one of those lands Scrabble2.0? or the three of them?

    Nah it'll be Anderson and then a trade involving Sanchez for either Kendrick or Phillips. Still roll into the season with a woefully thin rotation.

    There's no way we get Samalphabet without moving one of the two. I'd honestly consider moving one of the for him however, just to listen to Buck say his name every 5 nights.

    Anderson's contract is 8M in 2014 and 12 in 2015... There is 1.5M team buyout after 2014.

    The article on Yahoo suggested that the Nats and the Mariners would still likely go to 200. Heck, I'd probably do 8x25, problem is AA won't go over 5 years.

    8M this year and 12M next year with a Team buyout at 1.5 is really a great deal provided he stays healthy. And if not, buyout and it's basically a 1 year crapshoot contract like Colon or Kazmir would be, but also at the cost of a prospect (which isn't a biggie if it's Nolin or Gose IMO.)

    I think saying the deal was good because it made room for Profar is a bit of a fallacy. But I agree that saying stud was an exaggeration.

    If Billy is looking to cut salary given he just took on a 10M closer, I can't disagree with taking a shot on Anderson. Everyone was so high on him coming into last season.

    I don't remember how much money was exchanged so I can't argue honestly, but trading for a 30+ year old 1B with weight issues, declining numbers and an albatross of a contract is often a mistake. Even if he is a good player. Especially when you trade an up the middle stud for him.

    Daniels rarely makes mistakes (Prince/Kinsler perhaps being one of them). I expect some sort of follow up move triggered by this.

    For DDL repercussions, a resounding meh! Tigers defence will be better, but it's more a hitters park according to park factor (which surprised me) but the Tigers should get more save opportunities. I dunno. I'm rambling.

    Wow I would have thought Rogers was worth more than that for some reason... David Thompson is worth just as much. Let's get him to buy the Jays and he can spend however he wants. Owning the Jays would be much more fun than the Jets. And he could make it Thompson's Skydome. Fun times for everyone!
